Waldorf Iridium & Quantum: Techno Sound Design Guide

A big thanks to Rapid Flow for explaining the layering of the Iridium so clearly. The problem, if any, with Waldorf is the limited availability of educational resources. Newbies like me constantly search KZbin for quality content to better understand this great synthesizer. I can add this video to the list. Great tutorial.

Do you think this is an ok synth to learn synthesis on, or is it better to start with a more simple synthesizer like system 8, gaia2, minilogue, etc?

Hopefully you won’t take this personally. As a Waldorf Iridium owner and other synths throughout the years, I long for different sounds. When you started this video, with to me is the King of all synths…. Why would you play THEEEEE SAME SOUND everybody on earth plays on “regular” synths? Do we fear change today? “Let me see if I can get this DX7 sound going in 2024 with this 6k synth the Gods made!” You didn’t say that but why haven’t we moved on to a new form of music with all this power? Any opinion on this?

Iridum rocks, can you do some harder fm bass pstches, that knock in the lower registers? What distirtions can it do?

Excellent, and I'd pay for something like this but you need to slow the sound design down a bit. Not everyone's an expert like you. Your Rapid Flow hands are a blur. Also, we don't need to see your daw, you, or the other screen in the top left. Martin Stürtzer has a channel and his videos are clear and at the right pace and POV. If you can be clear like that, that would be great ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5eVoHV9eb16nqc ). Basically what we got from this video is you performing.

Why don't you record multiple angles and then later choose the relevant angle in post-production instead of trying to switch cameras on the fly. You're talking about technical stuff you are doing on the Iridium screen but we can't see because you're on the wrong camera.

Hey good feedback and Thx for sharing the channel. Will likely do a sound set and in depth sound design video on Iridium. Will keep your comments in mind. I only capture a real time take to OBS cause editing multiple cams would kill me. As it is studio time is hard to keep free ;)
