Heeey! What do you think about this Waldorf creation? Lemme know down below, thanks!

After watching your video I had a sense that something special was here, I then went and watched the video Waldorf put out and I had to download the trial. After playing with it for an hour I simply had to buy it, this thing is awesome. I had been waiting for a good quality wavetable synth for some time but this is even more than I could have imagined. Nice one Paul!

A hidden gem is setting and adjusting each oscillator's startsample. This allows one to set the phase relationship between the oscillators, which has a stronger effect upon the character than you might imagine.

People comparing this to modern wavetable softsynths are missing the point. The Microwave 1 is a legend and still my favorite hardware polysynth. Now having a modern editor for it, directly from the manufacturer, that is ALSO a great-sounding emulation of the synth is a dream come true.

Getting an new features for a device that's 35 years old is pretty impressive IMO. I think people also miss the point that Waldorf has Iridium/Quantum as their modern wavetable synths on the market they also have the M that gives you a little bit of the old with some new additions.

Hello, I own a microwave 1 hardware, I see you mention that this VST is also an editor for the actual microwave 1, though i cannot find any instruction of mention of this on waldorf page or in the manual of the VST. Could you let me know if you have more info on how to control the microwave with this VST? Thanks in advance ✌

I deafly bought it for iPadOS and was blown away by it. Ran through AudioKit Rack Reverb, which is based on code from Sean Costello of Valhalla DSP, it’s stunning. For lovers of the original, it’s a no-brainer. It’s literally the hardware synth’s code…flaws and all. I just hope Waldorf doesn’t abandon it like they tend to do.

Subscribed halfway through watching you for the first time. Like every video before the video has started. Hell, if that isn't fair repayment for all the work that goes into you making the videos, I don't know what is. This must be because of Xenia - The usual Suspects released an emulation that can run the Microwave rom. However here is a legit way to own it.

Love the history of the PPG and what Waldorf is trying to do with VSTs, but I think you can get better sounds from Vital(free), or Serum or even Pigments by Arturia. Nostalgia is honourable, but not enough to open my wallet to a classic wavetable synth that’s unfortunately inferior.

This Motorola chip you're talking about is not an "emulation" of a synth, it's an emulation of a chip. It means you run original software taken from the hardware synth on it - it will sound absolutely identical, because it is the original synth taken out of the case, given a different UI. Cheers!
