I know topic bumping. Always be very careful when things are marketed and somewhere something works on a subconscious level. There's a logical problem, if something brings a noticeable change then what is subconscious? And not to bash psychology, there's really a difference with "working models" and "scientific theory". Been in this discussion so many times. The person who study's psychology claims it's science, based on overwhelming statistical "evidence", but all he/she claims is that they have a good or better "working model" which is completely not falsifiable. Don't worry, even Popper acknowledged that knowledge without this meeting this rigid standard can be very valuable. But you are already on a slippery slope by promoting a working model, even with these amounts of data to a science standard that has the demand of falsifiability. And you are even on a slippery slipe that you can make claims of science by using actually falsiable science as if what you sell now is also falsifiable....

The ai does come up with great ideas but the quality of the sound file is not there yet. Musicians would be smart to use these tools to hash out ideas and then recreate them from the ground up. It will be a a little while longer before they get all the white noise out of the mix's

so nonsens....you take take 2 voices , let them see in a mix and then unmixed.......... what did happend in between , how did you unmix them , what was the proces?

There are more song writers, and studio producer jobs still exist if artists like the music they create. He would ask to buy it from the songwriter. and went to record new vocals in the studio again for quality.

AI isn't going to replace artists, just jobs for stock music and jingle writers. Analog musicians will need to move towards live performances if they're looking for money. Trying to sell your music online will be near impossible because music streaming apps will likely have an AI music option. In probably two years, It'll be able to make an endless playlist of songs based on your prompts and liked songs.

Let's think about this for a moment, a musician comes along and writes a new song and that song has a fresh and different style, so a new genre is born. This genre takes off say like house or techno did, next thing you know 1000's of other musicians are writing tracks using similar sounds and beats. Are these musicians plagiarising the guy that came up with the new genre? Just to be clear, I run a small recording studio and write my own music in my down time. If AI and the androids to come that it will be installed in are writing tracks for commercials, corporate video's etc it will leave the real musicians time to write what they want. I know that I would be much happier writing my own personal tracks than composing some cheesy track for a pizza commercial. While AI is proving that it can do more and more things a human can let's not forget it will also be cleaning toilets , working down a mine shaft, emptying our garbage bins and waiting on us hand and foot. So ultimately we will have more time to do what we enjoy, yes it will take a lot of jobs but the decision making and the main creativity will be left to humans and we will have more time for these activities. If I load up Chat GPT on my computer and stare at it for a week it will do absolutely nothing, but if I give it the right prompt or ask it the right question it can do wonders. The only problem I see with it is the fact that it can be abused by the wrong people and this is what really needs to be regulated and prevented by incorporating the appropriate safety measures within the software. Man was never meant to fly....... Just saying. It's another tool to speed up productivity, I have played with these music models myself and they have impressed the hell out of me as to how good they sound BUT generate 10 or 20 songs using the same prompt and you will start to hear a mass produced flavor to the songs, most of the good tracks that make it to the charts have something unique about them that makes them interesting. Yes there are some that just ride a wave of the genre but if that is what some people want to listen to that's fine too. As mentioned, drum machines and synthesisers were considered evil by traditional musicians back in the late 70's and beyond, now they are totally acceptable when writing and recording tracks. It's an interesting time with the introduction of AI at the moment and one that I know will go down in history as a major turning point in our development as a species. I embrace it and look forward to the things that are to come, both musical and otherwise. I hope you got value out of my 2 cents worth and no this was not an AI generated response 🙂 Write something new and interesting and they will listen to it!

i would definitely NOT recommend buying this. the unmix module can't even separate out the most basic stems. if you try to unmix a basic pop song, spectra won't be able to discern between a kick drum and a snare drum. it's just a giant unusable disaster - same as all unmix algorithms before it. nothing groundbreaking here unfortunately, and now i spent 300 bucks on this useless software because there was no trial... feels like that was probably by design. if you're looking for a way to separate stems from a song, this aint it.

I purchased and tried Zebra, Diva, PhasePlant, and different instruments but ended up finally with VPS Avenger. They all sound great but their workflows do not suit to how my brain is wired. The look and feel of a tool are also important for me. VPS ticks all these boxes: Great sound, nice user interface (except that the preset browser blocks to much space on the screen), and endless sound design options. Further, you can have different routings for each oscillator. And a lot more.

As a lyrist, I NO LONGER have to rely on a musician to help with songs. Now, AI can help. I can be as 'lazy' as I want to be, or be as 'involved' as I want to be. I LOVE IT!

AI will just put an end to the confusion between creation (art) and production (business), that's all, and the people who once decided to make a business of music stock production will just have to adapt and embrace the use of AI or die, no problems if you're in the art / creativity side of music!

1. The phase shift at 5Hz on the Kirchhoff is DC cutoff. 2. The Kirchhoff is set at 117bit making its noise floor lower. The MAAT is on the usual 32 bit which is more than enough so the noise floor is higher. Still it doesnt really matter much. 3. The MAAT EQs price tag comes from the original 32bit EQ they originated from, the Algorithmix which is ridiculous by today's standard but all Mastering digital EQ back in the days are priced like that. It's part of the agreement so MAAT can't do anything about it, it's understandable huge portion of the sale goes to Algorithmix.

Two points: 1. The original Synthex didn't have an arpeggiator, just a sequencer. 2. You can remove the questionmark from the title of the video, it's ok, no one will mind.

I'm a professional classical composer. Yes, I spent all my life and childhood studying music. Got my PhD and now having to start over...in my 40s. My thinking is: AI is here, and Pandora's box has already opened. We can complain all we want, but what's the point? The software and models already exist. The music has already been "fed" into the beast. AI will continue to improve. The path forward is to learn about this new tech, how to use it for our own purposes, and better understand it. There is a learning curve -- especially if you want to install open source software and models locally. And this is preferred since you then can use AI offline privately, without "feeding" your own music ideas or experiments into the model. The alternative is to get left behind. It's as simple as that. Because the cat's already out of the bag. We have to reinvent ourselves, in whatever way we can.

I don't think these services do any better a job than Ozone's automatic mastering does, except with Ozone you get full controll to adjust the processing and individualize it to each specific track. And over time that actually helps you learn how to master yourself. Plus, when combined with Neutron using the same principles, your mixes will get better, and by extension your masters.

Good video! As someone just starting out in recording, mainly looking to use the interface to record multi-instrument covers as a hobby and not really planning to "go professional" or anything, would you say it's worth buying the Gen4 over the Gen3? It's about 130 euros price difference where i live, so that money could definitely be used on other things.
