Great demo,thanks Hunart!!! ...(For me its the most advanced - ultimate synth...You really can do all u want with it...I had a lot of machine in my synth life but this one....fantastic easy to use....I have also a big urorack modular and i only use these two,with a SE02 for the modern "Moog grain)

I really enjoyed the song that you used in the demo. Assuming it's a piece you wrote? Is this something you have fleshed out and released? I would be interested to hear more of your stuff if your style reflects the song in the demo. As far as the synth... .. whoa. damn. The only sound that distracted me from getting lost in everything, was the drums. Sonically they felt a little one dimensional to me (not what you performed or programmed btw, I love a menacing trap groove, it sounded cool to me). Anyway. Very cool.

yeah - great machine and performance. I have the Iridium for a few weeks now. It´s a lot to learn with the different synth engines... The Quantum is to big for my homestudio and I like the 16 Voices of the Iridium.

Nice! I like your joint editing of music and video: in which software do you work?
@esersound13 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I`m recording everything to Ableton 10. The video editing is in Movie Studio 14. Altough in these demos I don`t use nothing to edit the sound, just what I`ve recorded.
@InFamousProductions3 жыл бұрын
does it do any kind of drums? and could you get the same sounds out of a few iPad apps? I'm trying to decide if it can be done cheaper , or if this is the only way to get the sounds.
@esersound13 жыл бұрын
You can tweak out some synth drums with the oscillators. Beside that you have a really nice sampler inside, you can import even full drum loops to synthesize them further. Basically it`s a complex synth with lots of possibilities. If we don`t count the analog filters then soundwise of course you can achieve similar sounds via software (like UVI Falcon), but If you want fast workflow and on hand control of everything or make some sound design without a computer, there`s not much out there like the Quantum (or Iridium). Or I just don`t know about it yet :)

jesli miałbys wybrac jednego Waldka z posród Quantuma , Iridium i Kyra to którego bys zostawił ?

Ze względu na brak miejsca (i też finanse) Iridium. Pomijając finanse i miejsce, to najbardziej przypadł do gustu i ma kilka rzeczy, które czynią go dla mnie idealnym desktopowym synthem do sound design`u bez komputera.

Szia! Ezen melyik firmware van? Állítólag, a soronkövetkező frissítés után, már nem csak az analóg filterekkel fogja lepipálni az Iridiumot.
@esersound13 жыл бұрын
Szia! 2.0.

A presetek nagy része jó részt megegyezik a Quantumban találhatóakkal ;)

Not even as inspiring as the Blofeld IMO. In fact Vital sounds just as good if not better, and while it doesn’t come with a dedicated physical interface, it’s also more or less free. I keep watching videos hoping to like it because I love the concept, but none of them even remotely justify the cost. Maybe no one has really found the sweet spots of it yet?
@esersound13 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Sound is one thing (I know we can do similar with most of high quality soft synths like UVI Falcon wich is even bigger in term of capabilities). When it comes to the price - no plastic knobs, the screen is awesome, the workflow is one of the best (If not the best) when we`re talking about hardware (almost no menu diving, everything just appears on the screen when you touch a knob), the overall build quality is something you can trust. Yes, it`s expensive but so is a Minimoog. It really depends on our preferences ;) I`ll probably go for an Iridium in the future for sound designing without turning on my computer.
@hostnik7773 жыл бұрын
@@esersound1 - I'm much more impressed by the Hydrasynth for a hardware digital, but then again I haven't played any of them in person. I'm all about hardware, but for what I'm hearing, there's just no way this is worth the cost, even if the knobs are made of gold.
@esersound13 жыл бұрын
@@hostnik777 This is not about the knobs, you know this is about hardware ;) The good thing is that everyone can have his/her opinion and we have lots of stuff to choose from. I`m in love with Iridium right now and you can like something else, it`s fine (and it shoul be fine for everyone else). All I`m saying is that without any price for promotion I can recommend this synth to check it out in real. And yes, I want a Prophet 10 (and I`m a VST lover). And it`s worth its price, same as the Quantum :)

I used to have a Blofeld back in the day and while I loved the sound, I absolutely hated trying to program it. I've had the Iridium for a week now and I honestly think it is miles ahead. I do agree it is very hard to find good demos of this synth on YT. This video is a good job at it, but I think many of them fall into a similar pitfall my old Access Virus TI fell into, it's too deep and people just get caught up in making bizarre ambient garbage lol Don't get me wrong, I love good soundscapes and audio textures, but they're easy to mess up and after a while, get kinda old when you're looking for more useful sounds that will fit in a song. I also initially thought it was a bit hard to justify the price tag, but honestly after you start digging into it, you do understand why it costs so much. You're getting basically 5 different synths in 1 or 10 if you count the ability to do layering, you can do external audio processing, sampling, use external audio sources as oscillation sources, load DX7 patches natively, the construction is all metal including all encoder knobs. The thing is incredibly well built and I would have zero issues taking this thing on the road. It's just an incredibly well designed machine and I would say minus a drum machine, you could replace most of a synth setup with just the Iridium because of its versatility. Honestly incredible value for money.
