Some cracking touches of sheer brilliance from Tony Ward, we don't see that sort of magic from a fly-half these days. Worth watching the match just to relive moments like that! Thanks, Simon5

My brother-in-law Gary Pearce made his Wales debut in this game, along with his Bridgend half-back partner, Gerald Williams.

Thanks for posting this video. I was a bright-eyed 9 year old attending my first ever International with my Father. We were in the centre of the Lower East Terrace, right down at pitch-side, and I can still remember seeing that winning Drop Goal go over.

@@andrewobrien9202 I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching. Tony Ward was terrific that day. Gary says he was the best 10 he ever played against. 👍

Very solid Wales pack, but the backs did not make the most of the possession. Lovely little run by Graham Price towards the end. Thanks for sharing this gem 🙂

The Celts nicked it! The upload seemed a bit spotty early on. My thanks, however, for it.

Some tough old characters on the pitch that day. Great days.

Phil Orr, one of the best loosehead props ever, destroyed by Graham Price. In this day and age, he might well have been sent off for deliberately collapsing the scrum.

Price was always trying to collapse the scrum though wasn't he?

@@maelughran6981 Neither Price nor Orr were renowned for collapsing scrums, as I'm sure you know. In this match though, Orr was well beaten and tried to negate Price's advantage.
