Taehyung (V) is the main producer and lyricist of this song.. this was originally for Taehyung's mixtape but the members loved it so much, they asked to add it to the album

We already heared a original part in soop ep.. But Members like this song soo much so taehyung added it on BE and convert it on Korean. Blue & Grey was supposed to be on V’s mixtape. But his company and other BTS members suggested it would be great to include this song on BE album so he changed the english lyrics into Korean. V is the main writer and composer of this song. He says, this song is about the burnout he went through and the suffer he understands and overcoming it and trying to be happier. Our talented king. I've been listening to the short version of this song since i heard it from one of the In the Soop episodes of BTS. And i love it very much, it's originally in english. Sung, produced and written by V. You should hear that version too. I'm kinda sad he didn't put it on his upcoming mixtape but i guess its better in this BE album. The reason why you see there are so many names in the credit is because Big Hit gives credit to songwriters no matter how trivia (short) their contribution is to the song. For example, in Boy With love, the writer of the part "oh my my my..." is given credit. Most labels only give credit to the main writers.

You are so right about BTS' creative process btw . They come up with "keywords" or concepts of what they want to convey followed by th beats then melody & lyrics . They always talk about focusing on the emotion or the mood of the song which is something they try to convey through their voices while singing/recording too . It translates really well

The original version it's in English, we get 2-3 month before a snippet of original version and it's just beautiful and we are waiting for that but BTS members also love it this song allot so they asked taehyung to add this on their upcoming album so he changed it as OT7 song and convert in Korean version..
