*Ng* is a difficult sound to produce when it's at the beginning of a word. To produce the ng sound in 'ngayon', say */sang/* (past participle of sing) and leave the position of your tongue as is (back end of tongue almost touching the back part of upper palate). While in that position, add */ah/* then say */yohn/* (or like the English word yawn). That's how you say *ngayon* . The word *ng* though is pronounced as */nang/* .
