Katrina has been slaying since she was really young and her parents were supporting her since then, unfortunately, she lost her dad due to BRAIN BLOOD CLOT last week. she can't catch a break! it's been a very difficult few months for her...and she had to work while their having a wake for her dad...probably already committed to a job and she had to deliver. poor Katrina. 😢😢😢 hope she finds peace in her heart in these vwry difficult times. i mnkw she's a. strong woman but she's also human so she really needs the love and support of not only her family and friends but also her fans and supporters...

Shes underrated because of her looks. There, that's the elephant in the room. Her talent was there since the beginning but philippine media will favor light skin, big eyes, and "pretty" over talent even up to today. She even admitted she used to use skin lightening back then up until she realized it's not her that's the problem. I will always put all my eggs in Katrina's basket because she's beautiful regardless of what standards have been put in place. She's personable, humble, and undoubtedly beyond vocally talented - range from controlled beautiful low notes, to belts and head/whistle register. Riffs and runs, breath control and lung power. Her musicality - producing and mixing behing the scenes, doing her own back up vocals. Name a Filipino diva she couldn't keep up with, its hard ti think of one. But name a filipino diva that can keep up with Katrina, now that is a harder question to answer. If you're not a hater or a basher of Katrina, you know 💯 what I've said is not untrue. Thankful international reactors are not as shallow and superficial as the Philippine media that influences Filipino mentality to a large extent, and just appreciates the talent that is there.

I just dont understand why Katrina is always belong to the top singers in the Philippines in terms of power añd everything but is not as famous as Morisette whom are always compared.. Personally I just discovered Katrina during the lockdown in the Philippines and thats because of reactors like you♥️ You appreciate and believe in her but not much I think in the Philippines.. specially ,some fans who cannot accept the comparison of who is who between Katrina and Morisette bcos Morissette is the famous in the Philippines and Katrina is just Katrina.. Katrina is a natural-born singer. I am not sure if she's the same batch as Sam Conception and Charice Pempengco (Jake Zyrus). Singing competition is also one of the reasons why we have power belters and well grounded singers. So aside from Karaoke, Singing contest is also the reason.

You'd be surprised to know that Katrina Velarde and Charice Pempengco competed together in so many amateur singing contests here in the Philippines 😊 and Sam Concepcion beat Charice as the winner in Little Big Star TV hosted by none other than Sarah Geronimo ❤️ Power belters here in the Philippines start younger than you think because of the amateur singing contest for every barangay (village), then there's every town singing contests, aside from the school and inter school singing contests and the televised ones that caters to nationwide aspiring singers ❤️ Aside from that, poverty also created a big role in those singing contests as it become a source of income for families. You'd definitely have the motivation to sing your best if it means putting food on the table. Most amateur to pro singers, started off poor. And with the passion and need to survive, they thrived in competing in every singing competition there is in the Philippines.
