The Kazakh instrument is a dombra which is very ancient in Kazakh culture. Dimash also has absolute pitch which was discovered when he was around 5 years of age. His mother has said that when he was around 5 he complained that the piano was out of tune. He started in music school around the same time. He obtained degrees in Classical Music (singing) and also one in Contempory/Jazz. He has just completed his Masters in Composition, gaining 100%. He has been approved for his Doctorate. He is 191cm tall.

Dombra is the name of that 2 stringed instrument which is part of the kazakh history , trandition and beyond it.Dimash has said that it is the soul of every kazakh home,he,just like his countrymen worships it.Dimash is very proud to introduce his culture to the world,so there has been no concert without him playing the dombra or a very dear kazakh song Daididau, dressed in his traditional kazakh clothes. He always gets extremely emotional when singing and playing kazakh songs on a stage in front of so many nations, this has always been the dream of his life and it has come true.He keeps saying that during his concerts and expressing his gratitude for having this oportunity. At the age of 4 or5 he started having piano lessons and one year later he won his first piano competition. So,yes, you got it right,he seems to have a special bond with this instrument,he feels comfortable,at ease, relaxed while playing it.As for the dombra, everybody in Kazakhstan has one at home and plays it,male, female or child. You saw him with his dad and godfather playing 2 dombras, then with Mansur, his younger brother. His dad and brother are on the stage next to professional dombra players performing at Dimash's concerts. That's soooo nice, isn't it?Maybe you could go to this fabulous Daididau in one of your next reactions. It has a true, sad story behind,Gloria Wu has done an excellent job on her channel, explaining the deep roots and meaning of this song which is sooo special and emotional to Dimash. The New York concert would be a good idea after checking the background from Gloria Wu's channel.Or maybe the variant from the Singer,or the one from the Bastau concert, they both are great.

As always enjoy your reactions. Here is his history of education. His first appearance on stage was at the age of two in a minor role in a local theatre production. At home Kudaibergen took an interest in musical instruments, and his parents and his music teacher noticed that he had absolute pitch. At the age of five, he began to take piano and vocal lessons at the children's studio of the local music college. Dimash first sang on stage at the age of five. He won the national piano contest Aynalayin at six. At the age of five, he began to take piano and vocal lessons at the children's studio of Aktobe's Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. He later attended Gymnasium No. 32 in Aktobe, completed a Broadway Musical master class in 2009. Dimash graduated in Classical Music with Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) from the music institute of K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe. He began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with Major in Vocal. Dimash graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition this year by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score. They recommend him to continue on for his doctrate.

You guys should react to his performance of Daididau. That first clip he's playing a dombra which is an instrument from Kazakhstan ( many kazakhs Know how to play this instrument). Trained since 5 in vocal s. He has been trained for all his vocals at a university and has master's degree in it, he has just completed masters degree in composing and was recommended a doctorate. If you want to know more then watch the Ubervocals guide to Dimash, 2019

The dombra is not only a Kazakh instrument it is known all over the Turkic world and it has a story of how it came about. the story go like this . A man's horse which he loved and had the horse from birth , one day the horse dies and he was grieving ,then one night he see a dream of the horse ,the horse said to him .Do not grieve Take some hair from my Tail and make an instrument and when ever you play it ,it will remind you of me .And that is the Dombar. Turkic's and horse are one in the Turkic world.

He is very tall😂 dude is 1.90 m! Ok so dome info: I know that he got the thing for music from like the age of 4 (to the level he can tell when an instrument is off) i think he won a kid competition before the age of 10 with his piano skills and was learning music and working on his voice from about the age of 5. He spent everyday learning ,developing and practicing with his teachers, not because someone made but because he wanted to, he truly loves it! Ofc you can practice just as much and never be that good...so what's the catch? Dimash was born with quite a talent, both of his parents are famous singers and it seems like he got the best out of both of their voices😂 He started going on big singing competitions at a very young age! in most he was the youngest and in all he won some top place...he became like almost a national treasure of Kazakhstan, everyone knew him! After he was invited especially to be on 'the singer' a huge show in China where the big stars go head to head...he was the youngest ever on the show and suprised everyone including himself with winning second place! After that he got SO popular in China and got noticed by the rest of the world too...since then he just keeps getting better and better and having the time of his life while doing so! For obvious reasons people wanted him to go and be an opera singer but Dimash said no, even tho he could've been the best of our times. he wanted to do more, to explore all kinds of music and not just stay in the same place. Dimash is known to probably have the widest vocal range that we know of and is holding the record for the highest note from a man that we know of. He is now 26 if I'm not wrong but has more experience then half of the singers we all know and he's only starting so i recommend you keep an eye on him🙃 and I'm just gonna throw in that he's the kindest most loving humble soul you'll ever see and that his fans are called 'dears'

Dimash is a phenomenon, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He is now about to begin his PhD. His range is over 6 octaves (7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. Although famous in Kazakhstan he rose to world fame when he was 22 and in a competition for professional singers in China, called I am Singer, he was invited as a wildcard and after one song (SOS) was catapulted to stardom and is now a pop superstar in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is on a solo world tour tight now and in his concerts he sings for 3 to 4 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album in China though. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others. 💖

Hello Waleska and Efra. A very important reason about Dimash's accuracy in singing is because he has absolute pitch. God gave him the full package! As for Dimash playing seven instruments I have to tell you that it is not correct. In his performances he have played piano, drums and dombra (kazakh instrument). Of course he can do "exercises" with diferent instruments, but even in one video "playing" marimba, someone asked him if he plays guitar an he said: "No". About the cello, it was just for a tv commercial. Dimash apart, I want to tell you: I'm proud of you two: young Venezuelans with knowledge and criteria. Greetings from a Venezuelan lady.
