Phoenix is an blazing bird that rises up from the ashes and flies again. Morissette as a "kontesera",(a frequent singing contestant in particular) could also relate to Phoenix character. Morissettes father gave her her basic singing training but she has had some other training. For instance when she was on the voice philipines she was mentored by filipina superstar Sarah Geronimo. Im sure she has had some training when she was under contract with the shows she was on. (i mean she was on a Disney Philipines show among others) But i dont think anyone would disagree that the what she has is mostly from hard work and her own God given gift.
