YES, watch Dil se. It's an art and a masterpiece, one of the major films that made SRK the king of romance. Also its preity zinta's debut film in bollywood. It has AR Rehman composition too, and in my opinion ARR's most underrated but best work till date.

Exactly Waleska when they had announced ABCD and Katrina wasn't in it i was shocked because if anyone who can slay western dancing styles in bollywood it's Katrina but both ABCD 1 and ABCD 2 were good attempts although Shradha is a very graceful dancer her dancing style is way different than the themes they chose for the movie, she had to train very hard for that but Katrina should have been obvious choice . and yes when it comes to folk dances or typical bollywood style dancing Shradha shines , she brings her own "Ada" into it. Also shahid is very underrated for his dancing, and another bollywood dancer you must check out is Govinda from Madhuri's era of bollywood. phenomenal and expressive dancer of his time.

A proper bollywood classic i would really recommend is hum saath saath hai. Genuinely has probably the most known songs in indian households growing up. It's a super nice family oriented film and too. My uni mates watched it with me recently and loved it too. Plus it's got karishma kapoor, young saif Ali khan, salman khan, and some other legends like Tabu and sonali bendre. If you dont watch the movie cus it's long I still recommend listening to the songs fully, maiya yashoda is the best classic ever. For modern then the shahid kapoor movie you mentioned called teri baaton mein aisa uljha jiya is funny, good songs. It also stars kriti sanon, the great dancer actress from Mimi

The part where you said Katrina isn't a strong dancer is a clip from a 2007 movie. she was fairly new then. only been in the industry for 4 years. back then she wasnt a good dancer. but now she definitely is. i recommend watching kamli and chikni chameli for her dancing skills. also ishq shava dance. theres a dancing scene right before the song starts you should watch.

The songs and film score are composed by Vishal Bhardwaj who is also the director, writer and producer of this masterpiece of a movie both musically and cinematically. The soundtrack has nine songs whose lyrics are penned by Gulzar, except for 2 songs "Gulon Mein Rang Bhare" and "Aaj Ke Naam" that were written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz. All the actors are legends of the Hindi film industry like Kay Kay Menon as the uncle/Claudius, Tabu as the mother/Gertrude and the late great Irrfan Khan as Roohdar/ghost. Tbh, you should watch this period.

But what is important is that this movie was way ahead of its time in selection of musical performances and outstanding songs.
