What you guys said is so important and so necessary: it's not just about "oh they are attractive" or "oh they look/sound nice". It's the amout of TALENT those people show us, the excitement of wondering what comes next, what more they have to offer, what more they can bring on stage to amaze the fans. We sure have so much to learn from them about hard work, about trainning and, of course, perfomance wise. EXO is the only group I listen to from the Korean market (although I know there's many many other groups that have great music to offer). I've heard a bit of Monsta X as well, but EXO is so amazing that my heart is completely full with them already hahaha

Yeah and the fact that exo had already outstanding vocals without a lot of training shows how excellent they are, baekhyun debuted after 4 months of training and he was already really skilled, it shows in their debut mvs ( what is love, mama , wolf ...) and kyungsoo too, he didn't train for a long time but his voice is amazing and it also shows in their debut mvs and the fact that they still improve, baekhyun kept training his voice till midnight everyday and even the day before the release of candy, they're so hardworking and talented it's really showing how amazing they are !

yeah, exo never settle for relying on talent alone, they put hard work! even until now baekhyun and chanyeol and kai takes vocal lessons. baekhyun drives himself at night to his vocal lessons even on days when there are schedules like during candy promotions. chanyeol had his vocal nodules operated and healed through vocalization. sehun installed a studio in his room so he can practice when he's at home. these are just small examples that i can think of on the back of my head. there are a lot more~ (please leave comments if you think of more) these are also just occurrences that theyve shared with us. im sure there are a lot more of their hard work that we don't know but it is definitely evident in their improvement over the years.

What you guys spoke about is so so important and I couldn’t stop tearing.. EXO has really popular songs but only some of them are my absolute faves. The other ones are at least less popular and those songs just speak to my soul. These guys are so underrated and they deserve more. And the quality of the music and vocals and how they pull off the exact vocals onstage while performing shocks me still.. I listen to other Kpop groups too but EXO is my absolute fave because of the way they speak to my soul. And I’m absolutely in love with Baekhyuns voice. "fanboy energy" haha XD i agree though, people dismiss kpop groups because they're formed and not discovered raw(?). But I actually started liking kpop because of this system, it's so awesome that kids their age had the conscientiousness to do everything they needed to debut. I wouldn't have had the drive nor the discipline to sacrifice going out with my school friends, or not having a lot of rest times, etc. I'm not saying those who come from a less organized industry (or an industry that invests less in talent development) didn't put in the same effort though. I'm just saying the kpop idols worked just as hard using a different system so they shouldn't have that discriminatory tag. If I were to mention one thing that I loved even more than knowing how hard they trained, it's the group thing. In other places, it's very easy for individuals to just view their groups as stepping stones to solo careers. I like that in kpop there's an actual feeling that your members are your family too and you really have a shared goal that's just as, or even more, important than your solo career goals.
