Here are the first 10: Los Cantantes de Manila won the GRAND PRIZE in the Arezzo International Competition in Italy. 4 Filipino choirs won GOLD in the 2024 World Choir Games held in New Zealand: the Quezon City Performing Arts Development Foundation, the Miriam College HS Glee Club, the Mariano Marcos State University-Nasudi Chorale and Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion Chorale. The Baao Children and Youth Choir also won GOLD in the 29th International Habaneras Junior Choral Contest in Spain. 4 Filipino choirs also won GOLD in the 2024 Bali International Choir Festival: Anima Christi, GenSan Youth Orchestra and Choir Corporation, Cebu Normal University Chorale & Panamyaw Chorale.

I know you've been reacting to some of the famous choirs in the Philippines and I'm glad you've been discovering more and more of these gems. Choral groups are really huge here. Aside from church choirs, choral groups start as soon as kindergarten and until college; and even as you enter the corporate scene, there would still be company choirs. Thanks again for this fun reaction video and I hope you can check out more of these, specially those groups that's been recognized as champions in international choral competitions. ♥♥

Morisette made a movie about how loboc childrens choir started she portrayed the teacher who created a the choir for the children to be able to continue going to school. I think the name of the movie is called S9NG OF THE FIREFLIES.

Its worth checking out Philippine Madrigal Singers. They won European Grand Prix for choral singing twice. The first from Asia to do so . This was against the best in the world. Check their piece We Beheld Once Again The Stars. The best😊

My sister was a member of the Phil Madrigal Singers back in the day and their only "real" alto (you can throw a rock in the Philippines and it will land on a soprano, a tenor, a baritone, and even a bass but good luck finding an alto--also please don't throw rocks at people, they get mad). This was her part when they sing this song. I love this arrangement.
