Looks like my 1980 Yamaha srx440. Loved that machine. Small, powerful, fast, turn on a dime. Won a few xc events, and poker rally’s with that sled.
@joerutkowsky3261 Жыл бұрын
Love it. The old srx graphics are so nice. If I had the money for a new sled this would be the one just for the old school graphics.

This is something new! This is something you all should try 💪🏽 Its like a gt3 on Nürnberg ring! Scary fast! And the power stearing is super smooth! So easy to go fast, Its a new model, But the parts have Been around for a while, Not just in this configuration

Just BNG and refinements for 2024. Yamaha might be in the Catalysts chassis new year?
@guyincognito1431 Жыл бұрын
Strictly a guess here (zero inside info), I'd bet they will have one trail version Catalyst and one "Riot" for next year and keep the current models for one more run. Then 26 almost all Catalyst sleds. I'm sure this chassis will be eased out as opposed to totally killed off that quickly. They sold out in minute again this year.
@derekelias7559 Жыл бұрын
@Guy Incognito I wish they would bring back the old names like the Exciter, VMAX, VMAX SX. The Sidewinder SRX dont sound good, just name it SRX. I also wonder if Yamaha will develop its own chassis in the future.

Is Yamaha going to move to the Catalyst platform?
@pajamatime5750 Жыл бұрын
Nobody knows that yet for sure. Obviously the speculation is they will, but I don’t see their triple 4-stroke fitting in the Catalyst as is…. Nothings been said for sure yet as far as their continued relationship!

Would be nice if they just went to their own platform!!

No, it is not. New spindles, lower ride height with different springs, IQs active shocks, different rear axle, power steering, different skis, updated handlebar controls. Not the same. Love it when people that don't know comment like they do know.

@@murdered1415 Personally i am on a Skidoo turboR and that has 50 lbs on an 850XRS. The difference is very noticeable. Now my machine does handle very well but the extra weight is more to manage in the tight twisty trails. The lighter two stroke defiantly is the way to go. That being said im not sure i would want to handle another 50 lbs. That is the weight difference between yours and my machine. So that's roughly 100+ lbs on a 850 xrs. Im going to say maybe your "Buddies" Are not as good as you think. I have not been on a Turbo Yamaha but i have passed dozens on the trail. Personally i would love to ride one so i can have first hand experience.
