Josh, I really like that ripper tooth you made for the backhoe. Very innovarive idea. Heck, I've had my GC1710 for years and never used the pop-out holes in the loader which definitely is a benficial assist for installing those swivel shackles you placed in your loader. It's great to have a good dealership that cares about you. Full-watch on your video. I lost my Massey dealer. A new owner bought the place and it's just not the same but aleast the shop is there if I need to order parts. 👍🏽🤠 5/27/23

Nice video. I just came across your channel. You have many good add-ons. I really like your idea for the bolts on the folding ROPS. I am going to steal your idea! The rattling pins drive me nuts. I never thought of using bolts. I have high doors on my old barn, so I don't need to worry about folding the ROPS. Thanks for sharing! - Rick

You have done quite a few neat & innovative modifications ,That are nice custom installs & all are necessary . I own 2 Massey-Ferguson's a 1959 M-F gasoline & a 2018 M-F 1526 diesel , I think I'm going to do some of the lighting mods on the 1526 because like yours it did not come with rear facing work lights . Thanks for sharing your ideas & the video good stuff.

You need to patent that ripper and consider production for those of is that don't weld.

When you hooked lights to the factory pigtail did you find a place up front somewhere to add a switch? By the way nice build on ripper attachment! I appreciate well thought out builds. Most times I would rather build than buy it.
@joshsimpson4273
@joshsimpson4273 3 жыл бұрын
I ordered a pigtail off Amazon that would accept the amount of lights I wanted to run and had an inline power switch already wired to it.. its mounted on right side of rops for easy access facing forwards or to the rear when using backhoe.. thanks for comment and I hope to have some new content this fall...

What did you use in the loader bucket knockout holes? Size? Good video. Have you replaced the headlights with LED?
@joshsimpson4273
@joshsimpson4273 3 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the delayed response, im not sure on the diameter of the caps id have to measure, but they came capped from the factory so I'm assuming you could order them from dealer if you wanted.. as far as the lights yes they are led from Amazon, cannot remember the number on the lights but pull a factory off yours and it should have the number on it to use to check for led on amazon... it was just plug and play no wiring..
@joshsimpson4273
@joshsimpson4273 3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry I just realized u meant the knockouts in the bucket itself and not the holes in the ends of the loader arm, brain fart.. I used swivel pulling eyes that are bolt on, you can find similar pull eyes at tractor supply/rural king...

@@lamontpowell6235 No I haven't used those, but I do have some ideas for either a guard to prevent rollbacks onto the loader arms/tractor hood, and or some sort of a pivoting grapple or clam.. hard telling what will happen 😄..

@@joshsimpson4273 one thing I do have is a skid plate under the rear. I do some brush and land clearing, pretty sure it has saved my hydraulic filter, pumps, fans a few times. Got it from RetailRems. He fabricates these and a few other MF GC series accessories. I'm looking for a guard to protect the rear lights, seems someone would make and sell one, maybe 4 - 5 inches wide that would bolt on in place of the originals on the GC1720.

@@joshsimpson4273 I gotta figure out something. I ended up removing the ROPS completely because it wouldn’t fit in my garage and I didn’t like how it rubs when it’s down. Your fix is awesome!

Ya I'm sure your aware thats not a great idea for you at a safety standpoint, but I can understand your aggravation with the rops rubbing and chattering and not fitting into a standard door... where abouts are u located, I would definitely make u one if it meant getting your rops back on your machine ol buddy...

I wouldn't know how to charge really and feel bad for do so. It's literally an ammo box from tractor supply or rural king painted masset red, and just had a simple sticker made to put on it... it is really handy to have on board though...
