I love my Troy-Bilt rider. I'm terrible about maintenance and it sits outside through the entire Illinois winter. In eight years, I've replaced the blade engagement cable, blades, a fuel return line, and a deck belt. It's nothing fancy, it just works. Thanks for the videos, I learn a little more every time!

Many people are with mowers - we fix when it breaks instead of keeping up. We’re busy people, it happens! Thanks for watching, and I love your content! 🇺🇸🤘

I couldn’t get the bolt off or on easy on one side for my neighbor’s Simplicity Pacer walk behind mower when I was changing the blades. Turns out, it probably needs a new spindle shaft. This video is very helpful! I heard a bang sound as the belt came off while changing the blades. It lost the tension, but I already would be needing the belt off to remove the spindle shaft. This mower has a lever to pull for the tension when putting on the belt, and one of the spindles has some wiggle room to be able to put the belt on. Quite an interesting design!

I'm working on this model for my neighbor, and he replaced blades and got it out of timing. I could not find anything on the internet to reset blade timing correctly. Thank you for this video - I was lost !

🇺🇸🤘 Gotta make do when you don’t have the parts! I made a living of doing that in Kandahar. Still do it - just on a smaller scale!

Where did you get the spindle shafts? I actually need everything but the actual spindles I need the plastic part that goes on top of the spindles that has the gear belt on them on both sides.

Those pulley hav timing arrows, blades should be at 90° ( like a T shape). Mine from 2002 and finally has piston knock ;)

I'm sorry not enough details, the belt is for the blades. Is there a special to install the belt?

Looks far easier to change the blades on that than a ride on model.
