Think this is the first time I had Laksa around that area...not sure which is the right one, I saw the food recommendations board that was put up during the TEL 4 Preview date, so decided to go have look...will try there other one at the shophouse side next time 😁

With the opening of the Marine Parade MRT station, I was wondering which route I should take to go down to East Coast Rd to fix my craving for Katong Laksa when I saw this KZbin. Thank you for posting this video on the easy and simple short route to take.

Glad you find this short simple video helpful...there is another Laksa Restaurant at the shophouse area, on the opposite side of Roxy Square, just need cross the overhead bridge and walk towards Ceylon Road. Hope this helps too.🤭

@@ASimpleVideoSG Yes, I know about the one towards Ceylon Rd as my wife and I have been to this one a few times. It's time to try other Katong Laksa outlets to compare which is better. Much appreciated.🙏

Reminds me of the the one I used to have in the late 60s when I was staying at Haig Rd area. Not too many of them and everyone claims they're the original. There were already at least 2 stalls in two coffeeshops selling no chopstick laksa. Good replenishment after the walk!

Yes, there are too many claiming to be Original Katong Laksa, so I just visit this one recommended by the Food Trail Board that was put up on the Thomson East Coast Line 4 Preview, on some nice food near the seven newly open TEL Stations. There is another Laksa restaurant just opposite Roxy Square, it at the shophouse there, will find another time go there try and see how is it.

@@ASimpleVideoSG There was a documentary on CNA about the Katong Laksa thing. Maybe check that out first. I really don't know who holds the right to claim the title. After more than 55 years - if it suits my taste buds, I like, if not then I don't.. Can have more than one. Also, raw ingredients today are much different from last time.

i am planning to use exit 2 at the marine parade station to get to the East Coast road via Brooke Road. i guess the route you take to get to the overhead bridge by walking through Roxy Plaza is more direct than the Brooke Road route. anyway, you can use the overhead bridge to cross the busy East Coast road to the other side like Ceylon Road. there is another famous laksa outlet around the area called the 328 Katong Laksa just opposite Roxy Plaza. you can even do another ASMR walk along Haig Walk from Mugliston Road towards Geylang.

Well there are a few path to walk to East Coast Road...if you exit from Exit 2, you can also reach Roxy Square 1 Shopping Mall entrance facing Marine Parade RD, you can actually walk inside the mall and reach the other end of the entrance that is facing the East Coast RD where the overhead bridge is. I know there is another Laksa Place just opposite the place I had my...will find another time to try out that place.😁

I am not very sure, but it was a recommendation which I saw on a food trail board during the TEL preview day. Guess it must be correct one.
