I love Bob Ross , but this man was the greatest . How could you not love this. The truth is, we can all paint. Just listen to him
@jetsgardner5490 Жыл бұрын
Bob Ross came out of the military and studied directly under Bill for years as his assistant, then stole his technique, his "happy" banter and "fire it in," his brush and knife techniques, then overshadowed Bill's show and never once gave Mr. Alexander any kind of credit for teaching him everything he knew about painting. Ross is an unapologetic scoundrel and a thief.

You could turn that road into a babbling brook if you wanted. Oh, I had a creative thought. I love these lessons. I'm an old plumber learning new tricks. It's amazing how he changed all that darkness into light.

You know...as I'm watching and listening and recalling the Birthday Celebration for Bill Alexander 2022... I hear everything in THIS video. All our questioned were answered right here. His love of God and faith in God. The importance of the hatchery he built. The rages of war and our collective ignorances. I hear it all in this and wonder why the world can't see how imperfect it is... But how we can redeem it if we just have a vision. Bill calls it a brainwashing of ourselves. I think he was on to something. The All Mighty provides everything and some humour to make it more exciting!

I am 69 years old, and picked up painting the woods, only three years ago, I acknowledge Alexander is a gifted artist - with many blessings from God: Bob Ross acknowledged that he acquired this style of painting from Alexander, but when I compared the painters to each other, the sources of light on their painting deferred .Ross paintings show the direction of light , from the source. As a self taught artist - that never took one art tutoring or a art course : can you the master artist give me some insight of hue?

I swear Bill’s paintings in the first few minutes are a complete mess, and can’t help but think, “damn that’s ugly!” And gradually it becomes this gorgeous scene, just as he described before he started. Good lesson to not judge until you see the rest of the picture!

So,@@morgancalvi6675 on a video such as this, you seriously feel the need to say those things? You need to learn to just relax and take in the joy of painting. A year later I personally hope that you've cleared ur mind of any more of that self-induced negativity, it'll help if you did. Just something else to think about.

I have a question, if any artist out there can give me a tip: this painting is fantastic, but the light that is on the tree trunks towards the right is reflecting on the behind of these trees and not on the front ; where the sunlight is shining through ?

Look it up, Ross came out of the military and studied under Bill for years as his assistant, then stole his technique, his "happy" banter and "fire it in," his brush and knife techniques, then competed with Bill's show and never once gave Mr. Alexander any kind of credit for teaching him virtually everything he knew about painting. Ross is an unapologetic scoundrel and a thief.
