When I install a unit like this inside where people can see it, I make a point to explain the number on the display. Our first install with one of those, customer called next day to say the cooler was 54°. We get there, it is at 35°. He saw the number on the unit and panicked. Lesson learned.

I can remember as a “ Greenhorn Supertech” adding adding refrigerant to a walk-in like I was fighting a fire 🤣 I think I had to remove almost as much as I had put in. 🤣🤣🤣

Another indoor condenser doing mild weather duty with a custom doghouse? Been using probes for years but bought that Elitech manifold for S&G and ability to equalize pressures.... but still didn't get around to buying hoses to go with it! I always use a solenoid magnet to have pressure to the evap coil , but I guess even de energized you can still get some pressures or refrigerant at the evap coil

I tell them I’m commercial only too. But on several occasions, some of my regular commercial customers ask me to go out to their house to take a look at their fridge/hvac. Gotta keep ‘em happy, and I know they’ll pay.
