I'm so happy to see this. I have been bullet journaling for many years. I have had my eye on the Hobonichi for awhile now. I also decided to try it out for 2023. I still plan to do some collections in a separate notebook, but I'm hoping this change helps me to be more productive and have a little more time to pursue some other activities. You are one of my favorite bullet journalists to watch on KZbin, so I am very happy that you will be pursuing the same experiment as myself.

Awww…thank you so much! I love to plan and try to be very organized but I also love change so I feel I needed to move away from bullet journals for awhile. I cannot wait until 2023 to use my hobonichi and just got a Mega Weeks to use for my work planner and that video is coming out on Saturday!

15:45 stop being afraid that " your week is going to be boring". Your planner should work for you, and that's it. Write whatever you need to write and stop caring how it looks like

I know my planner and the info I write down is going to grow as my life changes and as I figure out how this type of planner works for me compared to what I have done in the past. Me saying my week is going to be boring was basically me saying that I’ll have 10 hours with very little info in it which is fine and maybe I’ll decide later that I will include some work related tasks within my cousin or maybe I’ll just keep it blank. I am very excited for January and diving into everything the Cousin has.

Have you thought about rings or discs? I gives you the flexibility to add collections, trackers, reference, etc. It is harder to archive at the end of the year but it allows for a ton of customization and you can change spreads every week if you want or keep them the same the entire year.

I have thought of rings. I bought a ring notebook years ago and never used it so I gave it away. I was considering buying another one for a work planner but actually bought a hobonichi weeks mega which comes in tomorrow. A video of me opening it and setting it up will go live this Saturday

How are you liking the gray cover on the Hobonichi? I’ve thought about getting it but was concerned the card slots on the front would make it bulky and bumpy. It’s so cute, though!

The card slots are really narrow in the cover and I don’t feel it is too bulky. The cover is on $12 and the little writing I have done so far hasn’t had any problems with bulkiness.
