Thank you for this one. It’s extra special. I’m related to Grant through my Mothers family and she and I visited this park back in the mid-seventies. Your pans and tilts today were thoughtful and not spontaneous and they are amongst the best you’ve done so far. I’m quickly catching up to your newer stuff. I want to add that I’ve become a bigger fan of your nature walks than your city walks though I do enjoy both immensely.

Magnificent trees. We have the 'Tall Tree Trail' near us which has the two tallest trees in England, both Sequoias. Not as tall as General Grant though! What was that that ran across in front of you at 2:05 - looked like a very skinny squirrel. The hollow tree that you walked through really shows the scale of the trees.
@CityWalks4 жыл бұрын
I believe it was a chipmunk, but not sure. Interesting that you have sequoias in the UK. Very cool. -H
@TheCountryTraveller4 жыл бұрын
@@CityWalks Tx Henry, yes now you've said it, I expect it was a chipmunk. We have some sequoias and other redwoods but they aren't widespread. I believe there was a fashion for large trees among owners of large country houses in the 19 century.

@CityWalks4 жыл бұрын
Hi, I was using a GoPro 8 with a z-axis stabilizer, aka vertical axis stabilizer. That was just to help me keep the camera level because the gopro has such amazing in camera stabilization. Sometimes I also use a DJI Osmo Pocket which I love for how easy it is to use but doesn't have the wide angle for trees or tall buildings. -H
