That’s a lovely walkabout in Chinatown. The street art paintings on the walls are really colourful and vibrant. They aptly portrayed what life was like back in the olden days in Singapore Chinatown. Many parts of Chinatown are quite touristy, however Chinatown Complex Hawker Centre is quite local as compared to Maxwell as most tourists seem unaware of the hawker centre on the 2nd floor of Chinatown Complex. Another pro tip is that the Fairprice Supermarket at B1 of Chinatown Point which is linked to Chinatown MRT would be one of the cheapest places to stock up on canned drinks/ bottled water/snacks as compared to 7 Eleven.

Thank you that was a trip down memory lane. Don't beat yourself up over getting lost I did the exact same thing there and funny enough went into the Chinatown hawker center and came out the exact same entrance you did 8 years ago. I love Singapore like you said there's do much to see and easy to get around.

Thanks,I am about to pop back to Chinatown today&I like street art&yesterday was in Arab street&the side streets are picturesque Also was amused in Don Quijote food based shop yesterday with food court included or grab your Don hot food and grab a beer 🍺 at Bar. OMG, OMG! Loved your walk thru Chinatown in Singapore! Towards the end, you are on the walkway towards the Indian temple. At the end of the walkway across the Indian temple is Chocoelf! I LOVE that place! They have the best sugar free chocolates there! They even have a chocolate bar with durian!

Watching this vlog from Shinjuku hotel room, still very hot and humid in Tokyo Shinichi 33 degrees Celsius and 80 percent humidity 🥵. Chinatown looks great, I haven't been to a Chinatown before, unfortunately didn't get to see Yokohama Chinatown. Good vlog 😊

There isn't any Chinatown in Singapore. There is, however, our 牛车水- cow cart water. It is famous as a tourist trap and that is what it means to local people.

wonderful video!!! i've always wanted to go to Singapore ever since i saw it in National Geographic. as for getting lost, lol!!! don't worry, i get lost too, especially in areas that i haven't been to before or not many times. 😅 but "Getting Lost with Shinichi" would be a good video series.

It’s historical. Check out history about Singapore and Malaysia. Singapore is multicultural country, they have Indian town too even though there’s lots of Indians. Chinatowns all over the world existed for one reason or another...for example in N.America segregation, racism
