I love this.I too did similar with my son at the same age and he now takes his 15 year old son with him to show him all the places I took him.One day ,I know he will pass the memories on as he shows a new generation what a beautiful world it can be if you look for it.

Hello Phil! I'm flabbergasted at how fast time is going. I was always told this, but since having kids I'm experiencing it big time! That's a full circle moment for you... I tell my girls "one day you will thank me" and can hear my Dad saying the same things to me in my ear as I rolled my eyes!!! We are blessed to be surrounded by beauty. It took a pandemic for me to realize all we have right here in our own backyard.

I started watching your Caminos videos again because they are some of the best videos about the Camino that are on here.

Hi David! I'm sorry I never replied! I'm trying to sort out how I can best use this channel. I recently re-watched the journey to relive some of the magic. Definitely so grateful I recorded it... thank you for your kind words and I hope that you are staying safe and are well. xx

How blessed are we to live where we live heh? I am so thankful for my natural surroundings... I literally live in the bush on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. I hike when I want, I kayak from my back yard. Hubby bought a trail groomer for cross country skiing in the winter..... It is so amazing Piper joined you. It is the little things that are the bigger things in life. Can’t wait for your next vlog. Cheers

Hi Sherry! Yes, we are SO BLESSED. I'm humbled it took a pandemic for me to wake up and see all the possibilities around me. As much as I yearn for travel, there are endless ways to discover the outdoors here. (Until it's -40, then I'll be turtling!) How cool is it that you can kayak out your back door?!! Gotta say I'm a little jealous of that! I've never been over to Lake Winnipeg and can imagine it's beautiful this time of year. Have a wonderful day!

You're correct; she'll thank you one day. In January (prior to Covid), I said to my daughter Victoria (25) , "We're doing the Camino in the spring of 2021, and I'll pay for everything". We're in Miami, FL mind you. Her response, "You mean walking?". Aaaah, the pleasures of parenthood. Thanks for the vid and be safe.

I so hope things open up then! And regardless of when they do, what a gift you will be giving Victoria! I dream of going back with my girls. One of them is a self-proclaimed "non-walker" lol. I'm sending you guys down in Florida all kinds of good vibes for a safe fall and transition into winter. Trying to stay optimistic that we will all get through this. Thank you for this, Oscar!

I'm very impressed Piper came with you, a precious experience for you both. My son had a rough ride as a teenager, it can be such a tough time. He's older now and we just walked the 300 km Pembrokeshire Coast Path (in Wales, UK) together. He waited when I was slow and carried my stuff too. It was fabulous even though I found the cliff edges pretty scary. You enter a different world when you just keep walking and nature is all around, a world where what's actually important becomes clearer. I love what you're doing Samatha ❤

Hello Caroline! Thank you so much for sharing this with me. What a wonderful bonding experience, especially to walk that distance together! I hope one day I'll be "cool" enough to not have to drag my kids with me on adventures lol! I'm going to google that path. It sounds divine! I was in parts of Wales this past March for a leadership conference; fell in love with the countryside and the people and all the amazing nature opportunities! It's true what you say; for me the walking in nature melts away the bits of junk that are simply "noise" or "ego". Just now I came back from a walk to clear my head! It never fails! Grateful for your support and encouragement and all the best from Canada!

Omigosh thank you Carla!!! Small adventures are the best! It's a win for me when I can get either of my kids off their devices. The struggle is legit these days!! Really appreciate your kind words. xo from TBay!

I loved watching the Mom/Teenage Daughter experience. Truth be told - not that much different than a few of my Dad/Teenage Son adventures. How interesting that Donald Trump and Ruth Bader Ginsberg came up! Would have been enthralled to hear that exchange! Buen Camino!

Hello Roger! For some reason I thought I replied to this, but don't see a reply? I'm very sorry! I can't always understand the internet/youtube/my iPhone... At any rate! Appreciate your comments! Yes, our convos spanned the gamut of some crazy subjects! While we aren't American we feel so connected to everything happening there. It will be an interesting next few weeks. Wishing you a fantastic day... Buen Camino back to you and yours.
