Honestly, I started this not knowing who was the ML … and then our FL appears and then we get some great martial arts and then transformation omg the first few minutes …jeezus that was a LOT thrown at you and now I’m going to try my best to finish - seems promising and I can tell there is some good directing in this short series - interesting pairing of tough FL and playboy ML lol 😂

Why in Chinese dramas usually MLs are way prettier than FLs? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Or at least the same? Even though they are getting lots of help from makeup and false lashes but still don't look as pretty!

You are so right and I glad it’s not just me noticing. I have said this over and over again. Is it in China the males consider more important than females? If you notice too, they always show the female is the one hot and bothered when she sees the male partially naked or just close to her in proximity, but if the male in the same situation, he’s cool, just notice, but not bother and in control regardless. The Koreans at least make them the same or mostly their actresses are really attractive. The Thai usually have really pretty actresses. My biggest peeve is when either way they not attractive at all and they have it written as the most beautiful or a really pretty one stating (as per their roles) they're the ugliest in the kingdom or whatever. I’m hoping it’s not my American mindset, but we have actors or actresses for a role of either being intelligent, kindness, cunning, or their character and use the looks card if it pertains to the role being played.

​@alisacobb5450 in China, it was no big deal for men to see partially unclothed women--they could go to brothels and had concubines, but it was a taboo for proper ladies to look at partially unclothed men except their husband in private. As far as attractiveness of ML vs FL, as a woman I prefer to watch good-looking men in my dramas but the FL attractiveness is not important to me. Plus beauty standards are different in different parts of world. Plenty of times in dramas they'll say FL's rival or legitimate daughter is most beautiful in kingdom but to me the villainess's maid is way prettier than so-called beauty.
