Wondering who did the front-end suspension and is it engineered. The little D max has a great little motor it’s very durable and reliable.

A well thought out rig it's well sorted to travel in and yet so simple that you know what's going on, the canopy with tyres at the front and the water tank in the head board has shown forward thinking mate good on ya

This is a lovely setup! Really epic work done there. Would love some more info on the suspension work, how did you do the calculations etc. keen for some action videos of some flex

I will do an in depth run down of the rear setup soon, so watch out for that!

I own a n70 hilux and have had a few, my current one has vsc (vehicle stability control). I’m assuming you would have in a more modern Ute aswell. How did you go with getting it engineered and what did you do with the traction control.

What's a rough cost on the sas and rear suspension work? And where did you get it done? Would love to do something similar in the front 😍
@17_dmax Жыл бұрын
The sas was 30k and the rear end would be about 10-15k depending on which shop you were to ask!

@17_dmax who did the front sas conversion and engineering?
@1993Revhead Жыл бұрын
For the side lights, make it simple and use some yellow film over the lens.

Love the video, but why do you have to have the wheels sticking out so far????
@17_dmax Жыл бұрын
It helps to keep the body panels off the sides of deep ruts and the extra width helps with stability

How did you go with engineering? I am looking at doing my np300, have been told it needs to be robot tested and haven't found an engineer local to give advice.

Would it still work with a bull bar with rails and hoops? And can it be registered all good?

Very nice. Love the engineering that’s gone into the suspension. Big fan if the front end… looks super neat. Where did you get the grill, it looks sick.

Are you planning on doing more engine work now that you’ve done so much with the suspension and the back (tray and canopy) have you got anything in mind for pushing big power, or just something nice and punchy
@17_dmax Жыл бұрын
I would like to do something engine related in the future but i really want to keep it reliable as it is a tourer and i have plans to do some big trips over the next few years

Quite an engineering upgrade - I presume the known body panel stress fractures in the engine bay of the Isuzu is not an issue for this suspension change or was that with the previous year?
@17_dmax Жыл бұрын
I believe that the stress fractures did affect this model, thankfully i have managed to avoid them so far

@@17_dmax good to see someone thinking outside the square - everyone seems to be chopping this chopping that and quite frankly don’t know where the money is coming from when we seem to all be struggling? I’m bemused that people ‘have to have’ a Landcruiser V8 Ute at a whopping A$80k or more when they will rust in a few years time because the rain sills, window panels rear quarter panels and chassis are still the same design and metal for over thirty years - I’d rather put my money towards property than boasting about some ‘badge of honour’ - all the best with your engineering project..
