My father had an identical one, same color inside and out. Bought new in 1976, 2.1 litre engine, California specs. It replaced a 1972 164E.

Beautiful car, I have an 88 wagon had two rear ends she still runs nice driven her for about 18 years getting hard to keep them in this condition with all the crappy drivers out there I still wouldn’t drive anything elts. 👊💯🎶🎶🎶🎶

Mine was a 1976 242 DL but was automatic. I traded it in for a 1981 Saab 900 Turbo. I actually wish I had kept the Volvo and did a transmission swap to a 4 speed + OD

My family had many Volvo’s in the 1980’s. My favorites were my brother’s 1973 (I think) 164E , 1976 262 GL and 1982 Volvo GLT Turbo with intercooler. It’s been 37 years since I had a Volvo. I’ve had many fancier cars since then, however that Volvo was the best car i ever had. The Saab was more fun but it was the worst car (due to reliability and cost of repair) I’m in the US and currently drive a BMW 330e sedan
