The Grand Canal itself is 2500 years old while Venice is only 1700-1800 years old. Please correct that part of the video where you mention about Suzhou as an Eastern Counterpart of the Western Water City i.e Venice.

In Shanghai, in some places, everything is too close and there is a feeling of pressure. In Suzhou, on the contrary, they do not try to put a building next to another, there is more freedom. You can enjoy the surroundings. I like Suzhou more than Shanghai.

Officers, and no there was no protest in that area. the government hires a lot of people for government agencies to help the unemployed find employment opportunities so there are a lot of officers/security, city cleaners, delivery men, mail men, etc when compared ot other countreis
