This and Alone and echo chamber are legit some of the best songs I’ve ever heard. I know from a random person on the internet with no weight to his words it doesn’t mean much, but seriously, keep making these because they are some of the best songs for those who hear them

Hey, remember that every "random person on the internet" is someone who you never even knew, and the fact that he could inspire someone random so much with just the stuff he makes, to the point of which those random people all want to tell him how amazing his work is..? Probably one of the best forms of encouragement and joy that he could ever get. I'm sure he cares for each and every comment there is, and yours is no different, it means a whole lot to him I'm sure

A random person who comes across his music, and they like/love it is a new person to the Youngsters and more people who can love and support Jonathan Young the better. Every comment holds weight.

Interestingly enough (for me, at least), my favourite JY originals are BAIT and Chemicals, so I'm the opposite of you. Regardless, the best is IMO fucking great, and the worst is a good song that just isn't my style (nice time to remember the disclaimer he added at the end of BAIT), so I agree, more originals coming is great news. Besides, maybe it's just me, but you can hear the passion in each of his original songs.

@@Bellidkay as a musician and author I can confirm that a random compliment is in fact the best form of encouragement. While having important people boost you is important for what you do as a business, most movers and shakers have ulterior motives and it's a give and take. But the random people? They have nothing to gain from complimenting you - it's an indication you're communicating something of what you had in mind.

@jodhod1498
@jodhod1498 4 жыл бұрын
This isn't what you asked for but my personal interpretation was that this was talking about an introverted 'online' society that rarely ventures into the outside 'authentic' world. For such an individual, the internet forms an ivory tower of sorts, where they're protected from rougher experiences they don't want to experience and can afford to look down on people who have to do seemingly more immoral and uncivilized acts to survive and have liveable lives. So the song is a continuation of the previous 'Echo' song, this time inviting the sheltered netizen to walk in a more authentic and 'real' person's shoes.
@Lycan072
@Lycan072 4 жыл бұрын
@@jodhod1498 I like your idea and everyone's open to their own interpretation. I found a deeper meaning to me. To me Its speaking about depression. the speaker is talking to someone who has depression but the reason or cause isnt that bad and because the speaker has had it worse and is showing the person that they had it worse and how. The 2nd verse speaks about the person going through what the speaker has and realizing that the speaker had it worse. At least that's my interpretation
@teamcybr8375
@teamcybr8375 4 жыл бұрын
@@Lycan072 And this here is the beauty of music. Everyone can have their own interpretation, and even if they don't end up matching the author's intent (if it's ever revealed), none of them are wrong.

Great song Jon & Caleb. I'm a oncology nurse, recently had a patient that was admitted, he told me about his story. War veteran, 13 years of service, recent fires here in Australia have taken his home and this week hes been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with 3 months to live in, this is all in just a month. I reflect on this after hearing this song, I take it as we should never take life for granted and we should try and walk a mile in another persons shoes.

I actually thought Caleb did a super Job on this song too. They're both ridiculously good and obviously work hard to sing in a way that compliments the sing and each other. I love Caleb's range. His deeper voice is very smooth and Jon's has a little bit of roughness to it compared. I like them both and both were excellent on this song. Found Caleb through Jon and it's a happy discovery. Haha

Same here: tbph, something about caleb’s general style makes it quite hard for me to listen to works made solely by him. No offense to the guy, but I actually wasn’t all too surprised he was on the lesser end of attractiveness in contrast to Jon (and this is coming from a straight man here.) Regardless, I do have to give my kudos to them both for being so deeply passionate about their record labels.

You´ll believe me once you have walked a mile ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------- You feel the chill run down your spine You know that nothing can compare And you begin to realize You´re on your on for the first time No one will catch you if you fall down here, The sun will never shine With all your crutches fallen, you pick yourself up off the ground Now that you´ve hit the bottom, learn to not look down *Chorus* x2

Quick question: If Young and Caleb ever started a joined channel, would it be "Young & Hyles" or "Hyles & Young?" Personally I thing "Hyles & Young" has a good ring to it...

Dude, this song kicks ass. Songs like this remind me of why I listen to rock and metal in the first place. Heartfelt tune, vocals straight from the guts, and lyrics that flow together really well. Bravo, fellas.

"You don't know the devil 'til you've seen behind his eyes" is the best line I have ever heard, and it's the truest thing too. Always assuming you know someone, even someone you hate, but you don't know them unless you've lived their life. Love it.
