So touching to see Lefty as we all remember him: cheerful, wonderful sense of humor and especially his knowledge. We miss you and celebrate your life, Mr Kreh. Thank you Flip. Hugs from Mexico City.

Wow, this brings back a ton of childhood memories. Growing in Western NC, watching Walker's Cay Chronicles was such an exciting time for me. I never had much luck meeting people I grew up watching, trying to emulate, etc. Flip has always been one of those people. Never spent much time in Florida as my career in the Marines took me away from the East Coast. I have recently decided to get into fly fishing, and really take the time to learn from the best. After finding Brian Flescheg at Mad River Outfitters, and seeing Flip in his video's I decided to search and low n behold here is the page. Flip, sir, thank you for all the memories. Wishing you all the best.

Hope you are enjoying fly casting. I decided to years ago just for panfish, bass ect. I lived on a large shallow lake in SE. NC and would wade taking only my fly rod. Then finding Flip on TV and buying video seasons I increased my finesse and distance. Nothing beats a lb blue bream ( blue gill) copperheads on a 3 wt. Tight lines.

Best casters on the planet, learned so much from reading and watching Lefty and you cast a fly. So smooth and on target. Thank you for curing my tennis elbow from bad casting!

Flip you're a class act. Met you with my dad at ICAST in 2018. Your intro to Walker's defines angler's moto to perfection.

Flip, Lefty , Jose and Stu taught me to fly fish. I learned from the best. I can't throw a fly as far or make it as pretty as they can but I catch what I fish for. It can be intimidating at first but nothing beats fighting a fish with them. Flip doesn't really give instructions but watching and listening you can learn especially when you get comfortable and wanna get better. Thanks Flip . RIP Lefty , Stu and Jose.

That was awesome! I might be able to sleep now after seeing the best fly angler I can think of getting rejected by a carp. Ive tried getting a carp maybe four times now, and still dont have one on the board, its so hard!!!! This is really gonna help me with getting back out there again this weekend though 👍🙏. Thank you legends Flip and Lefty. Im hummulated for sure by trying this game hahaha

Magic amigo. We had a chance to get ahold of some carp via the cicada hatch a few weeks ago. My 11 year old son was spellbound.

Like theropy just watching this show. The opening alone gets me motivated every time. Every episode is sharing an experience. Watched every episode many times since I was a boy. I guess I will watch them many more. My winter time fix when I am not fishing.

I have an eternal respect for both of these men and have lived next to the Susquehanna my entire life. Times have gotten tough with the smallmouths and perhaps Lefty has sent a wink from the other side to a forlorn smallie fisherman. This video was a wonderful treat, thank you!

For some reason I had never seen this episode or I would have started chasing carp many year ago. Not many carp here close regretfully and I am too old to travel an hour or so any more. In East Central Indiana even the smaller creeks have a good population of commons but no much around here fo some reason. Lots of various sunfish and smb though. I love these films being land locked they were my main contact with the salt

“I wrote a book on knots...” LOL. This is so similar to my first time fly fishing for carp...

Sure wish I could have fished with Lefty. It's hard to believe that he actually tied a bad knot (probably the only time) but typically, he humbly took it in stride - "I wrote a book about knots, maybe I should write another one!" There will never be another Lefty.

Interesting symbiotic relationships fish have with other fish species. I fly fish for Atlantic Salmon in shallow water during the fall on the Great Lakes. Those Atlantics push schools of minnows in water that is half s foot deep and walleyes take advantage of that by aggressively gorging on those minnows. The walleye know exactly what distance to keep from the salmon and when to make their move..

The Chronicles first aired 9/5/92 but I couldn't pin down this episode. Could have been in 1993 but probably not after 1999.
