Visited Ireland in 1989 and crossed the border twice and no active border check. We did run into army patrol’s both heading into Donegal and on entering back into the north.

Excellent summary, but there were _always_ checkpoints at the border prior to the Good Friday Agreement (1998). You had to drive through two sets of immigration/customs controls, with the occasional stop-and-search, and a narrow strip of No-Man's-Land between; it could be quite intimidating.

The Republic of Ireland and UK should be building of longest irrigation for water supply of Irish border if the all borders doesn't have of water supply by rivers in Ireland borders community. The irrigation was supplied of water for farmers, fishers, drinking water, and hydropower plants in the border it.

Is there a contradiction at 2:56, where it's said that Éire/Ireland was dominated by the English but then goes on to say at 3:07 that England had recently been invaded, occuppied and conquered by those lanky Norman Norse/French Nobs/Templar, .. Knights? So would it not be more correct to say that Éire/Ireland was invaded and occupied by the Norse Normans and not those hobbity like English, as the English had also already been invaded and conquered by the Norse Normans? Perhaps it's a silly and irrelevant point to bring up?

No the nornans had invaded england for over 100 years by the invasion of Ireland, so they were likely English by that point, even if they weren’t by then they defenitely became English by the next century

I live in Ireland now, in The Republic of Ireland. I do business with people in England as well as businesses in Northern Ireland and it’s very different. Goods from Northern Ireland do not have duty applied, goods from England do. Many English suppliers don’t want the hassle of customs declarations and EORI numbers for VAT exemption so they simply refuse to do business with us in The Republic. Technically what I call the Republic of Ireland is just Ireland and the UK bit is Northern Ireland . But the most northerly part of Ireland is not in Northern Ireland, so it can get confusing. I tend to say Republic of Ireland in order to prevent confusion, never never wishing to insult or offend anyone. As I’m originally from Great Britain I avoid any discussion on Irish politics, simply because I don’t feel I have enough knowledge of the real issues. The important thing to know is the people in Ireland and Northern Ireland are fabulously friendly and kind, and extremely welcoming to visitors. Northern Ireland may be in the UK, but many things are very different.
