Walking Across The Rocks To The Uninhabited Zeke's Island In Fort Fisher North Carolina

Come along with me as we walk across the rocks to Zeke's Island. Zeke's Island is located at the end of HWY 421 in Fort Fisher North Carolina. The walk to Zeke's Island is a calculated one. You can only safely walk to Zeke's during low tide. At high tide the rock path will be under water in some locations. I have not made this hike in many years. Let's get started with our beautiful walk!

What a walk! And a beautiful day over there in NC. Water on both sides! Great way to get your steps in. Army did a great job there. Nice way to spend the day. Nice shells as well. Hahha its alive. Haha wow the gap is like real adventure.

Walking to Zeke’s Island is a fun walk. I thought I would do it one more time to document it here on the channel. The wall has become more brittle over the years. One day the walk will most likely be impossible. Thanks for watching my friend.👍

Since you've been so many places I've been to from living all around NC my entire life (and of course vacationing in Myrtle and Gatlinburg and Cherokee, as all NC people do), you should add my hometown of Eden, NC to the list and check out the Eden Drive-In Theater...one of the few I know of that even exist and one of my favorite places growing up

HaHa You're so funny! In every past video where you talk about the wall, you tell how you wouldn't go across it cause of the the signs that used to be there, saying to stay off. Now, there you are, going across it...but shshsh I'm glad you did cause I wouldn't have been able to resist. And before you ever put up the Pro tip about wearing the proper footwear, I saw what Mrs Yeti is wearing & I was like...Whaaaat? The shell you found is an Atlantic Moon Snail or shark's eye & hermit crabs do take up residence in any uninhabited shell it can find, to fit it's own size. Sheepshead like to eat barnacles. Ahhh man! I'm 64 & I would've went on across that last area. I'm bummed , I feel jipped to come so close 🤪What was that metal object in the Cape Fear side, looked like a crow's nest?

This video is what happens when I get bored. They did remove all the warning signs!🤔😁 Definitely don’t follow her choice with wearing flip flops. I don’t recommend that. I am glad I filmed the walk to Zeke’s Island. I don’t think I will be doing it again anytime soon. The wall has really deteriorated over the years. Thanks for watching Deb.
