Walking After The Spirit

The one way to live in this life, and not be under law, is to be led by the Spirit. Codes and laws almost always take the place of the Spirit of God in the life of the believer. The Bible over and over again teaches that we should walk after the Spirit of God.

What helps me is to remember is Galatians 2:20. The flesh is dead, if we are in Christ Jesus. If its dead, it can't do. That helped me with my porn addiction. I no longer desire for it. Another help is to immerse yourself in the scriptures. The more you are in Him, the less you desire the flesh's desires. There are a few Bible apps that read the scripture to you; pipe it through your phone to your car audio when you are driving around. A couple of ideas to help you brother. God Bless you and remember no matter what, remember you are redeemed!

Where in the bible does it say thou shalt not smoke a cigarette? Is it bad? Sure, is it a sin? No. Is drinking coca colas 10 times a day bad for u? Yes. Is it a sin? No. Besides therefore there is condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Also it's ok to get mad at our world today especially our politicians. But sin not. We have righteous angry just like Jesus had/has. We love what Jesus loves and hates what he hates. We should vote them out, we should pray that they get removed from office, and we should pray for their salvation. I think the sinning part would be to wish harm on them or to forget that Jesus died for their sins also and they just need to believe that. One last thing that has helped me in my walk with the lord is: what's the first thing u do when ur on a diet and tell urself u can't have a certain food? that food consumes ur every thought until u give in and then u gorge urself with that food until ur sick. Even though u really didn't want that certain food in the first place, once u told urself that, u had to have it. So ur flesh rebelled against ur spirit. Jesus said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. That's with everything on this side of heaven, but praise God it wasn't for Jesus. So my point is relax in God. If u have believe on the finished work of Jesus Christ then u r born again and can never lose ur eternal life. So no matter what the struggle is, it's an opportunity to grow in ur faith, but don't beat urself up when u fall. God picks us back up to keep walking, never look back press forward. When ur not worried about losing ur salvation or displeasing God with every sin u commit, the appeal of that sin no longer consumes u and u r free to just love and appreciate what God had done for u thru the cross and resurrection. And u will find over time that u have changed a whole lot just by keeping ur eyes on Jesus instead of ur sin and u. I hope this helps, God bless

Can people please pray for me? For days I've been depressed. Worrying about hell, and the fact that most people go there. I felt like I finally truly got saved the other day, and I was crying and laughing both, feeling releived. But I don't know now if I truly did , because I didn't stay "into it" that long. And I just got sad again. Please please pray for my parents, I don't know if there saved. I want them saved. My dad has domentia too

I think it’s a misconception to expect to stay “into it.” Learning the Word, knowing God and being a Christian is work and lots of prayer. “Put” yourself into it. Do the work, especially when you are depressed. Go find other Christians and learn with them. Praise with them. Personally, I think this world is a whole lot of sadness. Heaven is perfect, this world is full of sin and sorrow. Do the work now because Brother it will be worth it. Find peace despite our suffering because even though we suffer we don’t have to suffer alone or be afraid.

I have absolutely walked according to the flesh and by the grace of God after the Spirit as well and there is no counterfeit, no faking, no substitute for "the real deal" and there's no counterfeit, no faking and no substitute for the "real fruit" of the Spirit either! It was a very good day in my life when I bowed before God and asked him to make me a real Christian! Burn it down to the foundation if need be but I refuse to walk in vanity one more day....it was miserable 😪 and he truly has made all things new! No turning back by the grace of God!

All of the parts of the Bible come together in a perfect harmony like a beautiful scroll unrolling by angels. There's like a musical aspect to it. Let me tell you of a dream I had which happened some 25 years ago and I still remember. It was more like an imprint that said to me, that every little thing that is done for the Lord has a ripple effect like in a pool of water. That keeps on having an effect on all it touches into infinity. It was so beautiful and I felt blessed just dreaming it.
