Many thanks for such a beautiful film. I love Suffolk and Norfolk but not been there for a few years but can feel a plan sprouting. So good that you share your thoughts and feelings about Miss Nancy. I lost my dog Stanley (big white Staffy) 5 years ago. Still miss him so much. He shared many lovely walks and treks with us but did love his food. On one walk on a local riverside nature trail he trotted ahead and we watched as he approached two ladies on a bench tucking into their lunch. Their sandwich box was left unopened on the end of the bench and Stanley calmly helped himself to a sandwich. Fortunately they were very amused about it and waved off my apologies. Many thanks again and take care,

When you said 'almost my favourite weather now' I had the exact thought going on. I absolutely love coastal areas in any weather but I much prefer a more dramatic sky, bit of wind and slightly bigger waves to a calm, bright, hot summers day by the sea. This video was so calming and full of positive vibes. Made my day. I'm with you on not always enjoying the company of others nearby but it wasn't as intrusive for us watching thanks to your editing. Apple juice joke - how did you know we'd all think that was a sample, lol?

Lived near there in the late 1960s. Such an atmospheric and haunting coastline. To seaward is a vast submerged prehistoric forrest, roots of which are sometimes visible. The tide round Scolts Head can be lethal to the unwary. We sometimes used to cross at low tide from Brancaster beach to the sand spit and run out to the exposed wreck of the SS Vina and maybe the Island too, but if you stayed too long the channel would become a torrent that would sweep you away down the beach. A good swimmer will eventually strike the beach a mile or so down, but very risky. We crossed once in ankle deep water and on return there were two big Seals swimming around us. A magical place full of spirits.
@missnancysdayoff3 ай бұрын
wow submerged prehistoric forest I’d love to see that. i was a little concerned about the tide especially after seeing those signs! sounds amazing living there. and the seals! magical indeed ☺️

Yes, a lovely place in clement weather and many memories return sharing your experience. We didn't know much about the buried forests back then apart from knowing it was there, but I believe it was part of what is now called Doggerland flooded 10,000 years ago. People had found ancient artifacts of flint along the coastline dating this far back. The remarkable wooden inverted henge was found exposed nearby too. Treasures are to be found and Mother Earth offers them to us sometimes. No better blessing than to suck away the negatively troubling our pure consciousness and allowing our hearts to open with joy unbounded. Our true Nature. Thanks xx

Yeah barefoot is good. Sitting on the grass is good. People are so scared of getting dirty. Like it's unsafe? We need a new generation of Huckleberry Finns! Good to see a video filmed close to my doorstep. There are some great sandy beaches along the west side of the North Norfolk coast. You really need to be careful not to get cutoff by the incoming tide though. Stay safe.

glad you liked it! I was pretty wary about the tide it can come in so fast when it’s flat like that, definitely good to have some local intel.

Beautiful place.. I live close by and once crossed at low tide and fished at the end of the long deserted beach on the far side of the island. Stayed for a full twelve hour tide cycle and didn’t see another human being in all that time. Fantastically peaceful day in a beautiful place.

amazing! I’d like to do that, would have needed a bit more advance planning than I usually manage 🤭 So peaceful though, I really wanted to walk all the way round I read you can cross back over down the other end of the island!
@stevep14232 ай бұрын
@ you are right… you can cross at the other end. Never done it myself as I understand it isn’t as easy that end. We have a lovely stretch of coast here and I think a lot of people take it for granted unfortunately.

Fun place. We used to walk out to Scott head and over the island measuring tidal creeks and ecosystems when I was at Uni in the 70’s. Very muddy and lots of fun!
