As a kid I grew up in Earls Court. Our family of 4 shared a single room in the early 1950s. I remember when I was 3 years old going to a big caravan park for a holiday. It's what poor people did in those days before Butlins and Walton camps etc. We had a great time by the beach and by big bonfires at night. I remember it like it was yesterday. Now I'm 70 and have lived in Vietnam for 18 years after living in Australia from the age of 12. I've been to 50 countries and spent 18 years in the army. But I still remember that holiday in Brighton so long ago.

Love this! I’ve always wanted to go to Brighton. Also I was watching some of your older Christmas videos of last year in London and they were amazing and the shop windows were beautiful. I was born in Tottenham and moved away in the 70’s and we always shopped in the heart of London at Christmas time and you are bringing back so many memories for me. Looking forward to this WW, though you could say the thumbnail is "rubbish"! No reflection on your work at all and I know you will get the joke. Though you may "refuse" to laugh. Ok I'll stop there with the puns! I'm feeling a bit better but taking it easy for now awaiting to hear of further test appointments. I was looking at your two route maps and description. I think from what I can see that you walked "The Lanes" of Brighton, an area I am familiar with. I also know the seafront stretch along the pier & the pier itself, which can be very crowded in summer. One of my most memorable visits to Brighton was 2 or 3 years ago for the London to Brighton Mini Run, where there were around 3500 Mini's along Madiera Drive! I've been back to Brighton since then too. Anyhow, see you at 9pm! Hope all the regulars will be in attendance.

@@cynthiakeyes7197 Hello again Cindy. I am truly hoping and praying for you. I an imagine this is a challanging time for you but you are doing great and keeping your own spirits up...as well as everyone elses. As for me, we are still not sure what it is but I am otherwise extremely fit, strong and healthy, which makes this all the more surprising. I am totally fine to drive btw and and drove to London Olympia this past Thursday for Spirit of Christmas. Tomorrow driving again to London for Country Living Christmas Fair. Will drive to O2 Greenwich first and take the train the rest of the way in. No chest pain at all when driving, even in a challenging situation, I am totally fine. But I still want this resolved. My doctor's phone call will actually be when I am at the show tomorrow, at 12:45pm. Anyhow, let's pray we will all be OK. We have a wonderful group through WW and hope for many more years, decades even of continued viewing...and of course, actually visiting all these places. Take Care Cindy and speak soon.

Been to Brighton with money (a small fortune) and without money (homeless) and not necessarily in that order. Remember when Brighton had some really interesting, diverse and liberal people back in 2010 (also when their footie team was winning everything even though I am not a fan of Football). Then the plastics and the gentrification showed up and emptied the town out of its life and soul. I went back and the novelty soon wore off after 3 weeks. Perhaps I am just getting old...
