A wonderful visit to this magical shrine in the forest. Thank you so much for taking us to these isolated villages, it’s such a treat. Especially to us older viewers who maybe aren’t able to walk the same as when younger. 😊 I would have loved to travel too see Japan in my younger days but it was not to be. But now I can get to see via your sterling camera work my friend thank you kindly. ☺️💐

Ambient Exploration: The rural village of Hyogo, Takinoya Japan is picturesquely serene and calming. I enjoyed the cascading water over stream boulders, the cemetery, Koi pond, rustic buildings, and shrine. Thank you for avoiding the more trafficked paved/striped country roads that are visually distracting and preferring the countryside one-lane roads, footpaths, and trails. I still marvel on how you plan out your journey in these locals, going through gates, over bridges, pathways, etc. that may not be marked on a map. Kudos for your adventuresome spirit! Today, I lasted longer than this video on my treadmill, and began another of your scenic videos until I finished. Happy Journeys! Margie

Great video as always, but this time it was so impactful..The village is so beautiful that i wish to visit it at least once, next year the trip plan is for Hokkaido Sapporo and Asahikawa..I was looking on the internet to find more about Tokinoya but nothing came out..not a bit of information,so do you have some link or site to check it out,it's okay even if it's in Japanese

Thank you! It is a nice little village, and actually I misspelled the area name, it's Takinoya. Sorry but I wasn't able to find any information about that area online, but it's about 20 minutes from Takeda Castle in central Hyogo. The area is pretty inaccessible without a car, and the village is more like a collection of houses so it's not really setup for visitors. Takeda Town does have a few hotels so if you happened to be staying there with a car it would be an interesting quick little trip. Hokkaido is beautiful, I was there last summer driving around the island. If you're in Asahikawa I highly recommend taking the ropeway up Asahidake, a semi-active volcanic mountain. And if you're in the mood, the hike to the summit takes a few hours and is a great experience.

You're moving too quickly and the cam is not steady. Otherwise, it's a cool video.

Thanks for the feedback, it's great to hear and good advice. I always tell myself "slow down" when filming, but it's easier said than done as I often get excited by the landscape, buildings, nice light, etc... In this case I actually came to the area to film walks at sunset and sunrise at Takeda Castle Ruins, about 20 minutes from this little village. I kept looking at my watch to calculate if I could make it to the forest shrine and back in time to arrive at the other location before sunset, so things were definitely a bit rushed😀💦 Hope to see you on down the road when things have steadied out a bit.

@@ambient_exploration No worries, I believe a gimbal stabilizer would do the trick if you don't have one already. Looking forward to more great videos.
