I grew up here and hearing you talk about it from a Scottish native worldly perspective is absolutely fascinating. i stopped the video half way to answer some questions that you had on this walk and to make a comment and offer my help. These street vendors stretch on until about 74th street where it starts to become more of a South Asian/Himalayan neighborhoood but it isnt as big of a community as the South and Central American immigrant communities of Corona and Jackson Heights. This place is always teeming with life for as long as I can remember. It is the main commercial avenue. Theres always been a lot of street vendors but ithin the past year or so I visited more often and became shocked at how much more prevalent the vendors and the sex workers became out in the open. It used to be just the Asian ones in some pockets but now theres a larger amount of Latinas doing it, NYPD is tasked with patrolling the area but they dont much to stop it and only cherrypick specific ones. On a positive note, there is some of the best authentic Mexican, Ecuadorian, Colombian, Peruvian, etc you can find in the world and so many options. The one avenue north is commercial but has less street vendors and is a bit gentrified. The further up north you go the quieter it gets and completely suburban, its amazing. Ive never heard of Little Ecuador but there might be such a designated set of streets called that idk. I want to watch the rest of the video now but I was thinking maybe if you wanted to collaborate with me as commentary or somewhat of a tour guide next time youre in NYC. I hope your Mom gets better and stable soon. Thanks for showing this area. I can see why many people wouldnt want to come to this area but its worth walking through if you want to see the REAL NYC you dont see in the movies and if youre interested in immigrant communities and their cuisine. PS. Roosevelt avenue goes all the way til 46th street and then it turns into Greenpoint avenue as it begins its downward trajectory into Sunnyside and LIC, Queens and eventually Greenpoint, Brooklyn where it still feels more industrial before turning into one of the biggest swaths of developed and gentrified areas in NY called Williamsburg BK. I think that Plaza you were looking for is called Diversity Plaza and that was right across the street from where you ended your video! I hope you eventually found it after doing all that walking.

Nice to see you back Emma. Why do you live in such a small boring town if you don't like it? When do you think you will go International travel again? I'd love for you to go back to Pakistan again. I would wait until the late Fall when it isn't a million degrees though! 😂😂

It’s where my kids were brought up , and where the house is , but now that my kids are older and left home I don’t spend much time there , hence relocating my base back to my hometown in Scotland… I’d love to go to Pakistan again as it where it all began , I will most likely go when it cools down a bit ! I miss my international travels a lot ! lol

From what I could hear, the guy yelling seemed to be a street preacher talking about sin and stuff. Lol. I really hate when people start preaching on corners and disrupt everyone else's day. Oh well. The street was pretty cool besides that!
