Walking from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) 🇵🇪

The cheapest way to get to Machu Picchu is to walk alongside the rail tracks from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the small town at the base of Machu Picchu.
This will involve ten hours of solid walking, a little preparation and a few risks. Let's Go!

Did you have any difficulty getting past train guards near kilometre 82? A lot of people take a taxi to that area and I’ve heard of a couple getting stopped.
