Yeah the taxi outside are pro extortionists. I almost got into a fist fight when I got dropped off. The driver said he would take me for forty I agreed when he dropped me off he said 40 US dollars. I gave him 40 soles and told him to piss off.

I payed 60 PEN for a taxi in Lima. So not all are scamming. I have driven with the first person/company in the exit who asked me if I need a taxi. It was like a desk at the exit of the airport where I could pay by card and they deligated me to a driver. Than I arrived how expected at my hotel. If you know the official prices, (60-70 PEN to Miraflores) you can also go with a taxi with normal prices.

Lima is also a surprisingly big hub airport in that part of the world. You would be surprised at the numbers of people who fly into and out of Lima International airport every year but I can understand that if people are maybe flying from Europe or North America, Africa or Asia Lima is an airport that is handily located in order to go to some of the smaller SA nations like Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay.

14:10: Canines have such a prominent sense of smell. I wonder how they must have felt smelling a dude so full of s*** at close range, poor little doggies. On a separate note, I found it highly offensive that the habitants of a district (Lima has 43 districts) with more than 400,000 people have been described by someone who believes whatever "google" says and with no understanding of the history of the neighborhood he is using for his videos.

Next time, ask for help! You were indeed in a dangerous place even for us. It made me smile when the driver took you to a football pitch instead of the shops where they sell football t shirt . that was really funny, but I'm glad you could make it and bought a peruvian football T shirt. Where exactly are you from in England ? You pronounce some words different from what what I'm used to hear but I like your accent because it's easy to understand.

@@thepilgrim3696 I had to do a little bit of research about Lincolnshire, I have heard about it but I have never been there. All the UK is wonderful, except for the food , haha. But I have to admit that you guys have dinner quite early like it should be, no like in Peru that even being sleepwalkers we eat in the middle of the night . How embarrassing! Answering to your question, no, I'm not from Lima, but I've been living here for 26 years. I was born in Piura , but I moved to Lima when I was 18, shuuu. I'm still young if you look at me from far away. Haha .

I've been to Lima 4 times in 2022, number 5 in November. You don't need 3 jabs. I only have 2 and I was never denied entry into anywhere.

Just buy an official taxi near the exit. it’s 64 Sol so about the same cost and a lot easier then looking for an Uber which are technically illegal at the airport.

Did you have any difficulty getting past train guards near kilometre 82? A lot of people take a taxi to that area and I’ve heard of a couple getting stopped.
