There used to be cheap hainanese chicken rice. If i remember correctly, it was AUD 2.90 back in 1997

wow yes that goes way back...it was so delicious :D I think it started like yeah $2.90 or $2.50 when they first open. It still exists in this shopping centre, but they have changed the name to Chilliz, and they sell several type of chicken and rice now like curry, sweet and sour, bbq chicken, etc..., and it's around $8
