Thanks for that. I play mostly solo, but I am Polish nation, so it is much easier understand rules in my home language. But when someone show me gameplay in that lovely and clear way, I can understand rules very easy 💙

Red/Orange/Pink/Yellow would be harder to discern for most colorblind people than green/red. Green weak (most common) makes greens look yellower, yellows look oranger, and oranges look redder. It's complicated, and thus commonly understood. For me, the awnings on the bottom floor make the red/orange/yellow a little hard to tell apart, but the green and blue stand out a lot

I’m confused as to why you got rid of inhabitants at the beginning of the game. In my rule book it says to put the 4 visitors below the floor supply grid and the 7 inhabitants cards to the left of the deck grid. It doesn’t say anything about getting rid of any to begin the game.

Seems like you have an incomplete rulebook... the one only says the following on Page 4 in a highlighted Pink Box: "Optional Rule (in bold): For beginners, players may remove ALL Shop Owners, Florists, and Gardeners (marked with * ). Use only 8 piles (4 Tourists & 4 Inhabitants) to simplify the game."

Hi Rahdo. Your runthroughs are great! I really enjoy them. Quick question for you (sorry to ask it here): I watched the runthrough you did on "Above and Below". Counting goof at 9:31. The left column with 3 orange cards has 8 plants, not 6. There are 2 plants on the ground floor-card as well. At 13:24 Rahdo scores this building and then he counts 8 plants. Great! Well Done! :-D Another counting goof at 22:45: "Time is getting short. There are only 7 more cards." No, there are only 6 more cards.

first goof noted... 2nd counting goof is on you, there's 7 cards because the stack with the kid with the pink shirt has 2 cards

yeah, this is a reprint from AEG where they added the extra characters (and also some extra storefronts iirc). as i understand it, emperor (the publisher of the first edition) is going to make these extra bonus cards available for folks who picked it up :)

hehe, i see what you mean. i am using it more for its second and third meaning, taken from dictionary.com *unquestioning or unreserved; absolute:* _implicit trust; implicit obedience; implicit confidence._ *potentially contained (usually followed by in):* _to bring out the drama implicit in the occasion._

Never heard of it. Like the ghibli art. While I miss a bit the combo's, it looks accessible. But 11:21, 11:33, 14:48, 22:30 (2x) , 24:14, 24:24 WTF? Why is the orientation of the front of the card flipped while the back is identical? Was this a pnp and are these mistakes? 12:00 what does I get to choose a person mean, do you have to at ttat instant? I mean it''s solo, there is nobody else that can take that card.. 18:44 should the 3rd floor not slide ALL the way to the right? - nvm fixed 19:40 21:00 isn't it obvious to take the 3 yellow? Questions, questions.. Since an illegally placed building breaks a rule, it would be more thematic to place the regulatory token on that building instead of discarding it. I'm not so sure about the balancing of the specialists, the horizontally adjacent plant guy feels perhaps a bit underpowered.

the only time you get to grab a person card for scoring is when you complete a building. same for solo and multiplayer. cool idea about putting the tokens on the illegal buildings, i like it! the could be -3 tokens, and so you put them out there, because the building is such an eyesore. cooler than how they implemented it! :) horizontal plant/flower scoring cards can be worth up to 12 vp IIRC, which is a big deal. but it's tough to pull off.

yes... but if he had taken the 1 coin he dropped previously at 26:56 he would've have the coin he would be missing to play the 2 yellow cards :)
