I never would have known this town existed were it not for Egon Schiele's stunning landscapes of the city, which he painted while staying there in 1917. Nice to see that his artwork did the place justice! Krumau (Krumlov) is simply gorgeous.

I stayed one night in one of these houses. The town is full of hotels. Inside it was just like most old houses - wooden planks inside and small stairways

Lovely place to explore, did a self-guided bicycle tour (about one week) starting here in the mid 2000's in August. Weather was hot and the beer refreshing. Tour ended in Mikulov.

It's an amazing place to be, highly recommended. We've been there once, but that was in february (winter) with no tourists. Except for us 😂

Its a little gem but better out of the main tourist season, it can feel like walking around a theme park in the summer. Did you take the train or bus to get there? The railway station is a bit out of the way but I still prefer it to travelling anywhere by bus :)

Normally I also like buses. I was taking the train actually this time as I came from Pilsen via Ceske Budejovice. The train station is indeed a bit further away and uphill from the old town. This year I was preferring train travel as it felt a bit more safe even though during August hardly anybody wore face masks. Still everything worked out nicely for such a 1 week trip to the Czech Republic (and 15 videos)

It's one person - me (Daniel) - at the moment. 😎On a good day while traveling I record 1, 2 or even 3 videos. These videos are posted then over a longer period of time. Every week I mix different places so it is a bit more interesting than 3 times the same city. It just appears that walks appear from everywhere. You can find the filming month/year in the video description. Currently half of the walks are from Germany - it should get more diverse again in a few months. I plan on opening up some preview section to see all walks that are uploaded for later posting. Thanks for watching!
