My wife is from Wiesbaden. We met in 1976 in a little restaurant on Grabenstrasse. We are still happily together.

My grandparents were from Wiesbaden. They arrived there before 1900 from Holland. As a kid I went there for the first time when I was 3 years old in 1950 when a lot of stores were still in the basements of houses around. From then on we went there frequently by train from Amsterdam to Wiesbaden. My grandparents lived in the Scheffelstrasse 12. I never forget the Hauptbahnhof and the Kuranlage.

That must be Gen. H. H. Arnold Jr. and Sr. High. I went through all six years there and graduated in 1972 back when Wiesbaden was Air Force and Mainz army. We were civilians, not even GS, so had to pay tuition for public school.

The day this video was taken, I was in Wiesbaden (I stayed in Wiesbaden from May 14th to May 30th). It seems to have been taken on a Friday morning, but this time I was working outside the city. It is amazing to see a screen like this appearing at the time I stayed. Kind and warm Wiesbaden I want to visit again!!

@@poptravelorg Thank you very much. Watching your video, I fell in memory, and my heart was very good. The places I want to see are "Campus Klarenthal" school and "Landhaus Diedert" which I went to on the outskirts of the city, in the forest behind it, I would love to see the downtown Helene-Lange-School, the big cuckoo clock, and the "Ringkirche" church, Wiesbaden Central Station. There are so many things you want to see? I watch your video and go back, but this time I'm good at German so I want to talk more with people. Wiesbaden gives me a good inspiration!!!! Thank you again. Google 번역에서 열기

What trees are those with the knobbly branch ends?
@poptravelorg4 жыл бұрын
Not sure when they are in the video but back on the Hamburg video I looked up some knobbly tree and found the "The London Plane Tree- "a cross between the American Sycamore and the Oriental Plane Tree". When they are pruned they have some knobly ends ( www.alamy.com/stock-photo/pruned-plane-tree.html ) if they look similar...
