Walking in ERFURT / Germany 🇩🇪- Around the Old Town - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Today we walk in Erfurt, the capital of Thuringia in Germany. With a beautiful Old Town and the famous "Krämerbrücke" the city has a laid back vibe.
It was my first visit there on this winter day. I didn't know my way around so I missed the Town square on video, I'll have photos on the website later. We walk a bit around, some circles, see the Krämerbrücke from all sides. We end up at impressive cathedral and head up the hill with the Petersburg for a view over the city of Erfurt.
No vlog, no intrusive faces, no talking or cuts - just walking for over an hour.

I hope to return in summer to Erfurt. If you can, make sure you time it to the "Krämerbrückenfest" - a festival which is supposed to be good fun.

I really enjoy your walking videos in so many different cities and by watching them you made me feel like i was walking there , i admire the unique architecture in all European cities but i feel Graffiti is a serious problem as it ruins the walls and different pillars where ever someone just writes which makes no sense , it makes a clean place look dirty , coz one can quickly see the graffiti . I wish the local gov take some action and stop ppl ruining the beautiful cities.

Erfurt downtown isn't bad at all. It's picturesque and has its charm. Maybe that snowy and cloudy day doesn't help to highlight its beauty. Great job.

Where is your website? Love to see pictures you have taken. Plus looking forward to your Summer tour here. You are so good looking, that you should wave to use, via your reflections in the windows! Haha! 39:11 Loved the Mallard Duck, in the Gera River Streams? Another thing I miss in germany, that we don't have here in Tulsa, Oklahoma USA, are your Cobblestone roads. Or do you call them Pavers? Oh yes, and the Street Cars! (is that what you call them?) That is what we called them in Stuttgart, when I was there. (Street trains?) My daughter in Berlin told me they were called something else now, however I forgot the name. We don't have those either. Just City Buses.

Thanks! I'll wave next time. Sometimes I notice my reflection too late :-). The website content in the works for a while now - like this channel. I should be home soon and will be working on it for the next few weeks. It will be poptravel.org /.de (for German version) and mostly be a photo / video focused version of wikitravel.org/wikivoyage with a connected discussion forum and my own posts. I have all my photos from the last 15+ years pretty well organized in a private blog already yet it will be a long process to put them online for public. As for the street cars - in Germany they are called "Straßenbahn" which is electric public transport on rails. It's convenient though in Erfurt they run in rather narrow streets sometimes. The ducks are everywhere there is water in Germany. You're right - it the Gera river there - a bit shallow running through the town
