Walking in GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN / Germany 🇩🇪- Evening Tour - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a ski town in Bavaria. The town's name was formed when 2 towns united in 1935. With its beautiful location in the Alps near the Zugspitze (2.962m), Germany's highest peak, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a popular destination for hiking and winter sports.
Our tour starts near the train station. We arrived from Mittenwald ( • Walking in MITTENWALD ... ) on this afternoon (in October 2020) which is only some 20 minutes away by train.
Now in central Garmisch-Partenkirchen we get to the town center and conference center which is near the Kurpark that we will visit later. First we check out the shopping streets and see the Bavarian architecture with several painted houses.
We have a look inside the Parish Church of St. Martin (Pfarrkirche St. Martin) in the western part of the town center and see some side streets. We head back towards the Kurpark and walk around this green area of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
At last we get back to the train station, where our train to Munich will soon arrive.

Thank you! 😎The audio is from a Zoom H1 microphone. I have finally ordered a DJI Pocket 2 though I will surely keep the Zoom audio for the videos. We'll see. As for the amount of videos: when traveling was possible I recorded way more walks than I was able to post. When sometimes 2 or even 3 videos per day were possible it leads to effectively 1 week of content (2 or 3 vids/week) per day. There are enough videos left until the end of the year. Still now the situation looks better and I hope to be able to take a trip around August/September again for fresher content

Any way to reduce vertival jumping of camera?

Yes, there is a way to limit this bopping / video-game effect - it's called a Z-Axis stabilizer which basically puts the camera on a spring that jumps up and down - hopefully opposite of the steps. I got one already and will try it out on future videos. "Ninja-walking" is also working well though a bit hard on long distances. I also have the DJI Pocket 2 on order which will give a wider field of view and should be used in the future. For now I keep posting videos that I recorded before traveling stopped as there are still dozens to post. I hope some traveling is possible later 2021 so I can improve the smoothness. @@poptravelorg The Pocket 2 will give you a wider field of view and a better dynamic range with the larger sensor, but you've gotten some terrific results with your current camera, so it may not be better in every situation. Oh, and don't forget that the "Ninja" walk attracts attention and just plain looks weird! 😎

Leider lässt die Architektur in den letzten 40 Jahren zu wünschen übrig. Kitschiger Jodlstil wurde von ahnungslosen Bauherren und Architekten umgesetzt. Die schönen Bauwerke stammen aus vergangenen Zeiten.
