Walking in Hyderabad (India)

Hyderabad is the capital of southern India's Telangana state. A major center for the technology industry, it's home to many upscale restaurants and shops. Its historic sites include Golconda Fort, a former diamond-trading center that was once the Qutb Shahi dynastic capital. The Charminar, a 16th-century mosque whose 4 arches support towering minarets, is an old city landmark near the long-standing Laad Bazaar.

Actually, the buildings in Hyderabad are not that bad, but the city management/administration is not that good. There is no street clean up, construction waste everywhere and no traffic lighters at all. Wish all my friends in Hyderabad are doing well.

yeah irani chai was brought by many muslim persian which came to hyderabad from central asia and middle east for trade during the islamic rule ,but many settled in hyderabad and mixed with locals and many do not know they are partly persian or fully persian , they are really hard to identify if they irani or not

I want to visit Hyderabad, Tirupati , and a couple of other cities next year. How safe is Hyderabad for American tourists? I don't want to stick to tourist areas, but I don't want to get robbed and killed, either. Are there certain areas that are considered dangerous? I don't want to go to any upscale restaurants and shops; I can go to Manhattan for that. I want eat street food, etc.

Old parts of all Indian cities are cramped, dirtier, infrastructure deficient, a lot poorer as these areas generally become the neighborhoods for low income people. The governments don’t invest in these neighborhoods’ aesthetics and urban infrastructure. This inequality exists in all Indian cities. Hyderabad must fix its older neighborhoods if it wants to be considered a global city.
