For those who are saying she should have worn a short skirt, she was wearing an outfit that we’d wear everyday in NYC. The difference is that whether you’re in a mini skit or a full body sweat suit, men over here in NYC will follow you and harass you regardless of what you’re wearing. It was really nice to see that she was able to walk comfortably without fearing harassment from aggressive men. Obviously a short skit would gain attention. Her point wasn’t to purposefully gain attention. She did this experiment as authentically as she could and props to her for showcasing such a beautiful country and their beautiful people. It makes me feel comfortable knowing that I can visit Nepal without having to fear for my life when I go out. I’m born and raised in NYC and I still panic when I see aggressive men everywhere because you just never know what they’re going to do.

This really is the most authentic way of doing this experiment. We want to see what it's like in different places with normal clothes. Couldn't agree more that wearing overly revealing skimpy clothes will garner attention anywhere in the world. Being by ourselves looks so safe in Kathmandu I would feel so much calmer there than in New York 😅

Towards the end, it would’ve been better if you had only concluded it about your own singular experience and saying “nobody cared in my experiment” instead of saying that “Nobody Cares” as a general statement and invalidating other’s experiences. Ofcourse it was daylight and you were wearing normal clothes. The experience is vastly different for everyone. I have personally been catcalled a lot and they directly stare at you or tease you almost wanting to harass you. That’s all. I am a fan of your videos. Happy to see you approaching such ideas.

​@@simpletechtipsstt4295yeah catcalling in mainroads of Nepal is not much nowadays...except some shopkeepers in Jamal calling to buy clothes and sometimes they pass comments but it happened twice since I have been here for 20 years....and thamel area is really unsafe for girls if you go there in daylight specially alone you will definitely get catcalled cuz that area is like that...itherwise in ktm boys kinda are aware of consequences of catcalling a random girl.

@@gossip.wave00 Self victimisation is always counter productive. Kathmandu is quite a very small area. Thamel is Kathmandu and Kathmandu is Thamel. It's illegal at least at paper but Thamel is open Red Light Area and this is not surprising because no matter how utopian world you want to create, if the most developed countries, especially the Western ones set examples for the areas like Thamel then entire human race has no other options left to believe what's happening in Thamel is perfectly fine as per the standard. People look at eachother not only today but thousands of years back continually. This isn't new. Its upto you how you feel about their looks. And surprisingly you found the easiest way to gain someone's attention through self victimisation. This is always counter productive.

You would have got more heard turning reactions if you’d worn miniskirts or more revealing clothes. The pant was too basic for a more deep reaction. That’s common here in nepal. Try with bralettes and mini skirts.

Trust me even just basic pants or hoodies and jackets will get serious harassment in broad day in New York City. Bralettes are very revealing so I wouldn't be surprised if lots of people stared at her with something like that! But this city looks way better than other cities with this experiment with exact same clothes in this video.

Cuz they think u look sexy in miniskirt. Otherwise who would look. If a guy wore the same, he would also get the exact reaction. There is a saying here in japan “The nail that sticks out gets hammered down”. If you don’t want attention blend with the crowd. Simple girls. And it is well known fact to get attracted to opposite sex. And wearing clothes with good sex appeal, what do think will happen? People aging 13-30 who are sexually very active will notice any sexually attractive person around them. It would be bad if they don’t look as they might have to consult doctors😂😂.

Obviously if a beautiful person wear any sort of dress and walk in the public . Someone or the other will turn their head to see him/her. I think kathmandu is not safe we should have to be careful sometimes recently i visit newroad Siddhartha bank and that one uncle who followed me ramghat pool to that Siddhartha bank even he ask others like where is the norbic hospital but he followed me and he said to bank customer service to like i wanna to create bank account and he didn't have any things like citizenship and passport size photos.👾
