Hermosa caminata. Estaba en esos días en Madrid, de regreso de Florencia en plan de trabajo. Ahí en la Glorieta de Cibeles se coloca un mercadillo de Navidad , pensé que caminarían por ahí. Quien diría que poco después se detendría todo? Me encanta Madrid en invierno.

Another GREAT WALK! Beautiful City. Took notes below of what I enjoyed during this walk by Daniel, for us. 1:28 Wished I could shop there. They don't ship to USA. *Brigitte Bijour* across from Burger King. 2:05 Stuffed Koala Bear to left? Or is it a human in costume? 3:04 Landmark bronze statue depicting the celebrated *Carlos III of Spain* on a horse, erected in 1994. 3:06 and On 8th May, 2014, Madrid will once again bask in the glow of Andalucian light as the world famous *Tio Pepe* neon sign is re-lit after a three year absence. Gonzalez Byass and the people of Madrid are delighted at the return of the landmark to its new site above number 11, Puerta del Sol. I love this *Instituto Cervantes* building! Took me an hour to find it on Google map. (because I didn't know what it was called and had hard time reading side of it - Could not make out the "C" and I kept spelling it with a "G" 11:42 .) 12:15 *CentroCentro* Amazing this was originally built to be a post office. Info: *The Palace* , designed by acclaimed architects Antonio Palacios and Joaquín Otamendi, was opened in 1919 and originally served as the *Head Post Office* . Declared a Cultural Heritage Monument in 1993, it has a Functionalist design and is one of the oldest examples of Modernist architecture in Spain. 14:20 So Majestic 17:55 and many other locations, under construction. In Google Map, these places look fine. However I am thinking maybe Madrid using extra BUDGET FUNDS to give this city more of a facelift, from what I can see on previous work. It's such an inspiring city. 17:55 Wished I could get some of those postcards (I collect them). 19:59 See building to the right, under construction? In Google Map, May 2016, it was still under construction! Guess it takes years and years, (plus money) even with our modern tools, to refurbish these lovely architect buildings! I find this wonderful! 22:58 In Aug 2018, BLDG to the right was under construction. Look how lovely it looks now! 25:36 I hear the MUSIC, *HOTEL CALIFORNIA* by the EAGLES! 28:52 Kids on Loud Tambourines 29:33 Entering *Plaza Mayor* 30:15 Santa by Christmas Tree 30:58 Police Dog? 35:18 Catholic Church *Iglesia de San Ginés San Ginés de Arlés* 38:03 Policemen on Horses in Mayo Plaza 38:44 Glad to see Musicians still play live songs here. They have done this for many years. (I saw them in an old Google Map) 39:40 Music/Singer *Stairway to Heaven* and this walk ends with this song/singer on electric piano as camera pans up to heaven. 40:29 What a Great way to end this walk! Thank you! I may get Portugal and Spain again during the spring or summer months. Viana Do Castelo looks nice after finishing the Camino de Santiago north from there. 🙂 So far I have no definite plans for Spain and Portugal as I'm working for some time first. More videos will be coming of various places throughout the year. I'll see what works out next year before the full tourist season starts. Thanks for watching!

I did another longer walk before this one here where I also went to the Royal Palace. I didn't go in due to a waiting line yet the video will be posted here in a few weeks. Usually I try to mix places to make the channel more interesting. I plan on having some membership site where all videos can be watched as they are being made. Thanks for watching!
