It’s been many, many years since I visited the ranch. Not so many buildings there at the time. We rode past the cattle and one BIG bull on dune buggies. The 🐂 couldn’t have cared less😊

So this is the place where Hollywood and TV dreams are made of . Just looking at the location screams Dinosaurs and King Kong , where plenty of fans seem to be enjoying the whole experience fantastic .

Tim tracker went earlier last year as part of a babymoon with his wife and kid. He did the movie set tour and the zip line tour on separate days. They loved the shave ice place on the ranch. A lot was filmed there and the set tour shows a lot of it with a lot of costumes and stuff left over from the crew. The Jurassic park crew left entire dinosaur statues and a few animatronics along with most of the costumes if they weren’t taken by universal. Universal has the cane with the mosquito preserved in amber but they don’t have much else.

One of my brother's college roommates fathers was a Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) at the beef cattle feedlot/slaughterhouse that I assume they still have on the property and got us a VIP tour there. You did a great job capturing the scenery on video, AK!

Mortal kombat the first film was partially filmed there as Shang Tung’s island fortress. It was just a backdrop though shown very briefly as most of it was models and practical effects. But the fights and stunt choreography were done in a studio in Hollywood. The second movie was filmed from Singapore, Thailand, and California. The new mortal kombat movie was entirely filmed on green screen in Hollywood with some footage from Japan with a recreation village which there are a few.
