Seriously good short video. You’ve given me some helpful ideas for shooting that area. Lovely images, very striking. You have a new sub!

Thanks Verdon, most of the times I visit this scene the sun is streaming through the clouds, it has it's own micro-climate it seems.

Wow, wonderful light in your shots Simon. I have to nip across to Derbyshire for landscapes anything like that. I'm new to the Vlogging business but I'm starting to think that 5 to 8 minutes is the optimum time for a vlog. Have to say you kept me engaged the full distance and couldn't agree more with regard to old glass. I just switched to Sony and am shooting a lot of my images with a Pentax 135 prime and it gives some lovely results. Looking forward to some more!

Thanks for watching Scott, and for subbing! I'm still trying to figure out the vlogging thing, and never sure if I say too little or too much, lol. I like to keep things moving along at a nice pace if possible. I'll check out your vlogs later, i've already subbed. Cheers!

Great vlog Simon, I know what you mean the ammount of extra time and stuff you have to carry for vlogging, is no joke... Your b roll is stunning, beautiful light and perfect addition to your story and images, they are cracking shots of the cross as well :)

Thanks Seb, I got lucky with some great light to shoot the b-roll with, but a little post work helped too ;-)

What a lovely walk Simon, totally agree, it takes a lot more time when you're vlogging. Excellent shots and great production. I've got a few more of yours to catch up on which is nice. ☺ 👍 👏

Great vlog, you really captured the light in those images. I know what you mean about extra time. It's worse when you keep recording the same bit over and over. On my last video I actually went further down the bay. I spent ages recording the same parts over and over to get right but then didn't like the image so scraped it completely.

LOL, I know that feeling, i've scrapped more stuff than I've kept so far! I hate being on camera, but forcing myself to get used to it. I wasn't able to watch your latest vlog these past few days, will try again tonight. Cheers!

Enjoyed watching it. Might be better if you included the the camera setup when showing the shots.

Really impressive stuff Simon. From the production to the results. I have a 50mm prime but not a 24mm but have considered it. Cheaper, light and often sharper. They don’t tend to be used much in vlogs. Good work 👍😬
@SimonBurnCreative6 жыл бұрын
Hi James, yes, a 24mm is not much use for vlogs, but a perfect small light lens for the type of landscape photography when there is so much foreground interest like all the tors (rocks) or trees on Dartmoor. Thanks again for continuing to watch my vlogs :-)

New sub. Can you advise us what filter set up you were using with the 24? Hadn't really thought about a 24 with my D750 but after seeing your great photographs with it,I am Really thinking about acquiring one.

Hi William, thanks for the sub! I was using my typical set-up of a circular polarizer and 0.3 soft graduated ND.
