I remember when all this area was all abandoned and derelict as a london black cab driver for 30 years so nice now😊

Camden Town is lively, and it was nice to see the local businesses. The walk along Regent's Canal was so calm and relaxing with nice views. 😌 I'm glad it didn't rain for majority of your walk until much later when you had almost reached to King's Cross Station. It's always fun to see Platform 9¾! 🧙 Thank you for sharing this stroll, AK! 🤗

Another great video AK. I love the canals that exist around central London. They give you some interesting views and also shelter from the hustle and bustle. Cool chat with the river and canal trust guys. They manage all rivers and canals so the right people to come across on your walk. BTW AK behind kings cross station for decades where Granary square and the many buildings are now was disused warehousing. It was known as an area of drugs and sex workers and not an area to visit after dark! 10 years of regeneration (and still going) has changed the whole area. Google has it's European headquarters here now!

My pleasure, thanks for the insight about the area's past and I'm happy that it's been modernized now

British people of a certain age will remember TV-am in the 1980's, 9:24 that was the studios where it was filmed with the eggs on the roof.

It is so cool to me how London manages to be a bustling vibrant exciting city while still having a quaint, “old time” vibe. If that makes sense
@peterd78810 ай бұрын
It does make sense. London has a policy of setting the very new with the very old. That's why modern buildings sometimes have to be very odd shapes because of ancient laws of view maintenance among other things. No one is going to get permission to demolish a 900 year old church to build an office block.

The canal walk from Camden Town to King Cross Station is a true measure of happiness by AK...the modern architecture overshadowed the ancients ones with the river of life... Camden Town has been the hyped places for youngsters as the local council has been developing the places, a charmed start for Charm...thanks AK for highlighting the movie 🎬 Harry's Porter platform 9.3/4 didn't exist...a nice ending 🎉😂

Camden Town has a great choice of shops. There were some great features along the canal walk, especially the bridges, canal barges and lock's. It probably wouldn't be a walk I would choose to do myself, as I feel the excessive graffiti would detract from the natural aesthetics of the area for me. However, thanks for sharing.

The food section in Camden has been hugely redeveloped although I wouldn't try eating anything. Coal Drops Yard in Kings X was also a beaten up area. Shame you didn't go into the Parcel Yard pub next to the HP wall thingy!

If someone is a keen Potter follower I think you’d much prefer to visit the film studios at Warner Brothers, just north of London in Hertfordshire, the artificial platform set up at KX and tourist tat isn’t worth anyone’s time or money.
